I thought the majority of the population AT is still white, though we Asians take up a sizeable portion of the demographic composition here. Time and again I sense a shameless display of blatant anti-Asian hatred in forms of attacking or ridiculing our culture, facial features and whatnot. I sincerely do hope each and every one of them get banned eventually (several of them did, and I am very glad they did).

I saw this thread and i just had to comment on the asian grade thing and their social life. my parents used to always b*tch at me about my grades. That was when i used to get A's and a few B's. When high school came around, i said fvck it and didnt really care. I started to hang out with more people and soon started drinking and smoking just to piss off my parents. I have to say that this is one of the best things that i have done with my life (cept maybe the drugs part). It boosted my self-esteem and i started going out with girls i normally wouldnt talk to(wasnt just the alcohol talking). i just think that all the asians should start rebelling or something cause it pisses me off everytime i see a nerdy obedient asian being intimidated. whats the worst that can happen when u do what u want? you get into a fight with ur parents? also, like the IQ chart shown somewhere in this thread, asians are naturally smart haha. i going to a good college this year on SAT and PSAT scores alone since my GPA was crap. so to all the asians out there, it is time to start the revolt

My parents were pretty cool when it came to grades. As long as I tried it was okay. Actually, they worked so hard in the restaurant, they didn't really follow my academic career. Overall my parents were really good except I felt they made me help out at the restaurant a little too long. There comes a time when you should let go and I felt my parents hanged on a little too long. I don't know about other asians but I actually liked to study and do well in school and for me I the idea of rebelling by not acting who you really are is not really appealing.

If you have to insist on the exception, maybe you should simply look outside the US. This whole country's become something of a livestock pen.
