Wholesale BJs. I like the idea, but the link didn't take me to what I expected.

They added a 15% surcharge now. Back in my day you just had to spend an hour in line and fill out a form and no surcharge.

BJ's has had this one-day pass thing for at least ten years now, that I'm aware of.

BJ's is frankly not all that hot a store. They had a tendency to replace national brands with store brand items and their prices aren't usually all that hot. If you can get the same item on sale elsewhere you almost always will do better in the other store. BJ's gas is maybe a penny or two cheaper than other stations.

I renewed my membership this year to buy tires, but I doubt I will get suckered into it again.

Sam's Club also gives a so-called free one day pass and charges 15% fee for this. If these companies had an good marketing skills, they offer the one-day pass with no surcharge, by charging 15% extra, it discourgages anyone from joining.

BJ's and Sams Club have some good deals occasionally, but you can find the same stuff at most stores or online anyway.

BJ's...available in 16 states only, I could have sworn it was more. :roll: I absolutely love BJ's...it's all about customer satisfaction...

BJs is a good store for cooking supplies, fruits and veggies, paper products, beverages, tires and fuel. They are not impressive with electronics, new DVDs, and furnature. As one of the earlier posters said, the deals are hit or miss. Since I drive a lot, the membership is worth it for me just for the cheaper fuel costs. They have been as much as 10 cents cheaper per gallon over the last few months.
BTW, what's not to like about BJs? :>)
