$42 a good price for a beige color case, a even better deal for a black color case. Go before they are out...
For $3 more but without side fan. Not a big deal, there is a back fan opening and the side fan might just block the future Window i think will make it very good looking.

I want the black one!!! No dang it, they just had to go and improve an already awesome case. Just bear in mind people that you should be black drives (floppy, dvd, cdrw, cdrom, whatever) or this thing won't look right.

got mine today. The box is pretty much bang up. It seems to be opened and tape back, Invoice inside. Some foam is broken.
Good news is the case is unscratch. I may have to try out the PS.

There is double wall on the top of the case between the PS and drive space.
So it will take more effort make a blow hole at the top.

Actually beige drives will look fine because the front has a beige ring around the drive area..

no. it doesn't. The black case has a grey trim around the dirve area. not beige ring.
I dislike they ship without a face cover for 5.25" and 3.5" (i think i will skip the floppy drive at first but now have to get one)

I think because of the banning abuse it got. The bottom lock actually do not lock the side door very well. I can use release the upper lock and pull the door open :disgust:
I think i am among the first group of customer to buy this black case from newegg. Why is the boxes seems to be open? (and the plastic bag is "opened", usually the factory wrap them very good and tight. Mine is not.)

(Also they use their "newegg.com" logo clear plastic tape to tape up the box, which already has 2 layer of tapes on them. total 3) It must be opened... May be it is a return for the "not so close door")

just got mine in . so far so good. i am really liking this case. i bought all the black drives, but with one problem. my burner is not black. i guess its time to go get a pack of sharpies.

for owners of this case, i have question of the "side case" (the one that hangs out)...
how loud is this fan? cause i plan on building a quiet system, actually a system with all panaflos (21dBA)...

personally, that side case is a new thing i never seen on any of my previous systems.

I have the white/beige version of this case. The side fan isn't loud... it doesn't appear to be a high speed type of fan. The other fans in my case are louder. I remember reading someone posting that the side fan was loud, but it only gets loud if the filter next to it touches the fan. But thats just my opinion.

update: i just ordered the no PS one =) it'll go great with the beige one i have..

that side mounted fan is removable. you can remove the fan from the plastic extension arm. and you can remove the extension arm which is secured to the back of the case with 3 screws.

They have the Evercase standard cream color for 22 + shipping. That's what I got!!! Yeah 3 bucks is worth your case being black but I plan on painting and modding it to shreds!
