I think it's a thing that rich, white people do. And hobbits.

Only time I had brunch was on a cruise ship... with my grand parents... when I was 10 years old. And yes, everyone there was white and old.

Statements like this are ridiculous. So because some black people do stupid things, that makes all black people look bad? Do you hold the same standards for groups of Asians representing all Asians, or some whites being representative of all whites, etc?

It is exactly how some people look at police officers. Some so terrible things, all are judged.

We haven't had any civil unrest protests for quite a long time. The occupy wallstreet movement didn't do anything, and for the most part people just camped out and didn't bother anyone. I might be wrong there, but did it successfully do anything at all?

Here we have a movement very similar to occupy wallstreet. Many organized angry people who are venting that anger at the establishment with no centralized goal or voice. Except they are going out of their way to vent anger at people who probably have nothing to do with the problem at all. I think the results will actually be detrimental.

Viewing some black people as representing other black people... where ever did that very racist idea come from?

no surprise. They are all liberal obama supporter grievance mongers. If it isn't this they would be looting liquor stores or other establishments. Liberal Marionette clowns.

I can only surmise that they are protesting their own stupidity, as one of their main talking points is bogus:

"The figure “every 28 hours” comes from an April 2013 report titled “Operation Ghetto Storm” by the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement. The report analyzed officer-involved killings of African-American victims in 2012. The report “is a window offering a cold, hard, and fact-based view into the thinking and practice of a government and a society that will spare no cost to control the lives of Black people,” according to the preface.

It’s not hard to debunk the claims using basic findings and methodologies from the report. (Twitter user @FeministaJones did it in a series of tweets using Storify.)

The report looked at the deaths of 313 African-American men, women and children in 2012, who were killed by police officers, security guards or “vigilantes.” Vigilantes are defined “self-appointed enforcers of the law” who had immunity under self-defense legal protections such as the stand-your-ground law or the castle doctrine.

If you divide the number of hours in a year (8,760) by 313 deaths, it does come out to one death per 28 hours. But the rest of the claim is problematic.

Among those killed in 2012, 136 people (44 percent) had no weapon on them when they died. That negates the claim that people who were killed “every 28 hours” were unarmed. Since the study looked at police officers, security guards, police officers moonlighting as security guards, and “vigilantes” that do not fit under any of the other categories, the claim that an African American is killed “every 28 hours” by a police officer is also false.

The “every 28 hours” figure is being quoted by thousands of people, including those who accurately cite the figure based on the report’s findings."

The above from: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...ck-person-is-killed-by-police-every-28-hours/

And it looks like these people are continuing the lies:

https://twitter.com/sharminultraa/status/551781106786525184/photo/1

Apparently, the homeowner who shot Renisha McBride - and got a lengthy sentence over it - is now also a police officer. And I can't even find a story for Shaniqua Proctor that doesn't link back to this tweet.

You people are missing the bright side - that radical sign-waving chick is rather nice to look at.

Wonder if they could be talked into using PETA tactics. If she promised to do naked protests, I'd promise to occasionally brunch. Or go to brunch. Or do brunch. Man, I am such a bad white, I don't even know the proper brunch terminology . . .

I think you might be on to something here. I would absolutely go see any protest involving naked hot black women. I might even fain some interest in their cause if they were really good looking.

If any black guy's showed up could we have the wait staff show them the door?

I think they were protesting against merging the words "breakfast" and "lunch" into the "brunch" abomination - those should be separate. (but equal!) /humorous

Really, what did this accomplish? Making a lot of people just out enjoying their morning roll their eyes at the antics?

Maybe a better idea would have been to go to these "white spaces" enjoy a nice brunch with their friends like everyone else, and show everyone that these are really "anyone who peacefully patronizes the restaurant spaces."

I hear on the news that the KKK has seen a bump in fresh recruits - Probably thanks in part to these idiot protesters.

Also folks, in a place of business, though private, unless said protesters are causing damage or are presenting a physical threat or in act of a physical threat using force would not be justified in the eyes of the law.

You can clearly demand that each one leave. Once they refuse you can call the police and press trespassing charges. That is the proper legal way to deal with this situation otherwise you are opening yourself up to counter charges and suits.

Also, look at it this way - Now you can give those ass hats what they think is their right to RESIST ARREST and feel the brutality of the police for the first time in their young yuppie black lives.

lol i am entertained

Following her tweets and that of her peers is most disturbing. Some seriously delusional made up shit and much of it militant in nature. Bunch of hot air that is just stinking up the place. Like it is their duty to do this, and they feel that they have to make complacent whites wake up to our own delusions about race in this country....

No you ass hats, these white brunch buying people were there to mind their own business and enjoy a meal as well each other's company. Your 4.5 minutes of fame just turned a few of them against you... You aren't doing yourselves any favors in how you or your cause are perceived. Congrats.

I suppose the only redeeming feature is that they aren't protesting somewhere they aren't wanted like this.

The shit would surely hit the fan then.

In my opinion if you're going to protest, the place that you're inconveniencing should at least be partly to blame for what you're protesting about.

What? In that picture they are clearly legally carrying firearms and actually purchasing goods or services. I don't see what the problem is there.

Well there were those two or three occupy clowns that conspired and planned to blow up a bridge in Cleveland.

She is hot and I'd invite her to brunch consisting of deep fried white people with biscuits and gravy. :awe:

Seriously what's all this talk about left-wing or right-wing racist? When I encounter racism I never ask myself "Hmm does this person lean left or right"? I use my Iklwa and call it a day.

Perhaps. It's better to walk the walk than talk the talk from your Iphone. I guess...

Just my opinion of course but the Internet hurt the KKK and their numbers. Meetings and rallies right before the advent was just a bunch of white guys getting together bitching about preserving white heritage and occasionally being overt racists, not going out and lynching and burning crosses... So 1960's...

The Internet afforded lazy supremacists and racists the ability to be as racist as they wanted to be, still be attention whores, get their E high fives and E smacks on the ass.. all while not facing public scrutiny and all from the safety of their homes which still emphasized secrecy and anonymity.

The Internet is just the new aged pointy white hood to hide behind. The resurgence as of late again, IMO, surrounds welfare recipients, immigration, "urban" crime, and gay marriage being in the news all the time... I think they are as homophobic now-a-days as they are racist which as far as I can recollect was never a huge part of their platform 40 years ago.

I agree, she appears to be pretty hot. No amount of hotness can make up for being an idiot though. I couldn't stand to be around her for any length of time. But yeah, nude PETA like protest would be nice from her.

Yikes! I didn't know about that D:

Google it. They were tied to the local Occupy group within days of their arrest. That fact was brushed under the covers and not ginned up by MSNBC, etc as it would be seen to be embarrassing as that crowd tended to be liberal/progressive in nature. The Occupy group tried to distance themselves from them of course, but there is a perfect example of how a movement radicalized a few individuals to plan out an attack on a vital piece of infrastructure that would also have killed some of the commuters that day.
