black case white dvd-rom !!!

hey guys,

i want a cool black case for my comp, but i already have a white cdrw and dvd rom. any case in mind that has a cover over the drives?!?
infact any suggestions will be helpfull.

That's what paint is for. Or "stealthing" the drives by gluing/sticking a drive bay cover to the front.

I have one of these and it's an Antec clone and a damn fine one at that! The firewire hook up is a PITA because you have to attach the 6 wires from the front controller to the correct 6 pins of the 10 pin board hook up (on the P4PE anyways) and presuming you have firwire on your board and plan to use it, but other than that it's schweet

Actually Antec is a rebranding of another type of case for most of them (if not all), so you can't make a clone of an Antec.

Links to the actual model number and info for items on Newegg would be infinitely more helpful than links to a picture of it.

Couple things. If you get a Lian-Li black case you can buy cover plates that stick on to your drives and match the black anodized finish of the case (even black drives don't match as well).

You can also bust out the spray paint...don't be scared, it's easy. Take the front of the drive drawer off first then the rest of the bezel will come out when you push the little tabs around the face in. If the LED cover is part of the bezel, be sure to mask it before you paint. Generic black spraypaint will work fine if the surface is clean. You shouln't really need any primer or anything.

My rig is a Lian-Li using the cover plates. The thing is a nearly seamless black polished aluminum block...the drives just fade away into it.

Well, considering that particular case could be from ANY manufacturer that rebrands the cases Antec uses (Chenming I think), I consider it not worth trying to find it, so, the difference between finding it and not finding it is essentially infinite.
