No, I don't think it's coincedental (or coincidental, for that matter!). 75% off is a 'normal' Target clearance, $59.00 - 75% = $14.75 (and Target often uses .90 & .x4 for their clearance markdowns), so 14.90 is perfectly reasonable. If they don't move them all at this price they may go to the even more hot-dealable 90% off, but I wouldn't count on it.

This price is entirely believable and I've seen plenty of markdowns jump from the initial 30% straight to 75% and skipping the 50%.

My store here in Snellville, GA scanned 41 but I'll be keeping a close eye on it.


If you're a biker then keep an eye out for the LeMonde bicycle stuff (I got a Mongoose BMX reg. 169 for 29 for my boy)

If you're a baseballer I picked up a Rawlings adult size softball glove reg 49 for 12.xx

If you're a camper then keep your eyes peeled for tents and such. Eddie Bauer tents and Coleman tents are at 50%. I also picked up a large aluminum folding camp table for $4 and several multipurpose folding toolkits for $2.50. Some of the kits have 2 or 3 smaller pocket knives as well as the larger folding tool. The kits come in grey generic looking boxes

2 days ago in Camarillo,CA. they were 49.90, yesterday I went back it was 29.90 so I got one for my DH. I imagine if I wait for them to go any lower, they will be gone. It really does vary by location though, the other store,15 miles away, didn't have a single one.

Stopped today at the Mntka, MN store, saw them in the clearance endcap, priced at 41.90. Took one up to the checkout person and they scanned at 29.90.

I checked this out at Target in Mountain View, CA.

The B&D model number was 3500. It had a few letters as part of the model number, but I don't remember them.

They had about 6 left, but none were discounted. AND, the regular price was $74.99. I checked against this UPC (0 2890717713 7), posted by sesopedalian.

Target at Rancho Cordova (Sacramento), CA had a bunch of these on an endcap market $41.90, and it scanned in as $41.90. I'll probably hit another store on the way home. :frown:

Sesopedalian's store must have marked them 30% off sooner than other stores, that's why his dropped this week.

As I said the stores in my area marked them 30% off 2 weeks ago so they only went 50% off today (29.90). I went to 4 different stores and 3 of the stores had them priced as such and 1 store never carried the kit anyway. They won't go 75% off for another 2 weeks.

Anyway, I did see stuff in automotive 75% off. I saw 12pk (could have been 18) terry cloth towels for 1.74, 18pk flannel polishing cloths 1.24, some wax applicators .44, hose connectors .44 (all these items were that Baja Sol brand) , 2 different types of Turtle Wax (paste & liquid) 1.xx, a few Meguirars items .94 to 1.24. There were other items in that area but I wasn't interested so I didn't look too close.

Sporting goods should have had another markdown today but none of the stores I went to did them. They said they were all behind on markdowns so they wouldn't get done today.

I just scored 3 at the Dublin, CA store...no more left. Label showed $41.90...scan price was $14.90. I bought them to give away as gifts or I might keep 2 (one for xtra battery). Battery alone sells for $25+.
