Consumption for the sake of consumption seems wasteful. If people really need something, like they have no TV and want one, for example, then maybe its not too bad to get out on Black Friday. If you're there just because something's on sale, then maybe you should reevaluate.

We are not in other people's shoes so lets not assume too much.

FYI, blacks and hispanics voted for Obama in horrifying numbers, like 80-90%! I'll leave it at that. Probably recent immigrants too.
