Trying to gauge the value of the Starter Kit.

It depends on which starter kit they mean. None of them are very good, and the items might not be exact, I havent really payed attention to whats in the new kits because well..they suck. But they all have a controller(offbrand), 2 cable extention cords. The xbox has a cd case, ps2 has a dvd remote, and I'm not sure what the gamecube has, I think a memory card. I think theyre $29.99 at regular price

Obviously, it's going to vary from area to area, but the last time I went out for Black Friday (which was probably a couple of years ago), I got up "late" around 5:30 and therefore didn't make it out to the store (Circuit City?) until just before 6:00. The line was literally around to the back of the store. What's worse, just about all of the items I was interested in were already gone by the time I got inside.

You can find some very good deals the day after Thanksgiving, but be prepared to a) arrive at the store before it opens b) not be able to find what you're looking for c) spend at least a couple of hours trying to get out of the place (between the checkout line and the parking lot).

Fight the crowds if you're on a budget, but the few hours it's going to take you is probably not worth it if all you're looking at is small-ticket items like DVDs.

Last year Walmart was awesome because they opened an hour early so there was not a line outside. Mine also had coffee.

This year they don't open till 6 when the sale starts and I am unsyure if I will go to the one down the street or head out to the super center. (15 miles away)

Speaking of the DCMA - Walmart has not envoked it and yet Khol's not only envoked it against the chubby wallet they stopped their affialiate program.

Walmart realised the back lash rthey recieved after last year and learned some others have not.
