It's not for health reasons. It's not for "It fscks you up" reasons. Just made up nonsense reasons.

Actually the story illustrates the only real reason pot is illegal. Its an easy way to harass certain "undesirables" e.g. mexicans, blacks, hippies... that are supposedly likely to use pot. If pot wasn't associated with these groups it would have been legalized back when Nixon put together the shafer commission that recommended an end to pot prohibition.
