he waits a few seconds while the other team is setting the bomb. then he runs in BEHIND them so they would not see him and as soon as they get up to move around he already has began defusing.

At this point he has some macro or high sensitivity so he keeps spinning in a circle, with a riot shield and a fast enough spin, many of the bullets do not physically hit him and by that time its diffused and they win

pretty funny video actually lol

Can anyone tell me what's going on in this ninja defuse video?

I don't play this game type. What I am gathering is the guy is waiting for a bomb to be set and the moment that happens, he comes in and defuses it. What I don't get is how come the guy setting the bomb doesn't a) come back and shoot the defuser b) attack the defuser since the defuser comes up while the bomb is being set or c) how come the setter's teammates dont come shoot the defuser?

a) Because people are stupid
b) He didn't see him. People think that if they haven't died by the time they set the bomb, they should get out of there and watch for people coming up to defuse.
c) Because people are stupid.

Ninja defuse montages use maybe ten out of a hundred game plays. It doesn't always work, it's just funny when it does

Played some Sticks and Stones last night. I forgot how much fun those game modes can be. I was just trying to tomahawk people the whole time!

Man more idiots last night playing Domination. We had a game where the whole other team just stood side by side staring at B flag and watched us cap it. There were also multiple games with a guy with a Riot shield on his back (he never used it as a shield in front). Same guy also would just run around trying to stick you with the crossbow. Is this some sort of joke I am missing? I am guessing they are trying to get certain accomplishments. Why do it in a Domination match instead of free for all or team deathmatch?

the shotguns are infuriating because there is so much CQC in this game, and all it takes is a glancing hit from a shotgun for a 1 shot kill. they are obnoxious and overpowered.

I don't mind the shotguns as much as tht fully auto pistol. Holy cow is that OP.

Question for those on Super Clans (you know where it's six of you and you are all at least Level 1 prestige) - do you just love playing public games against six strangers and mowing them down? Surely this has to get old right?

My friend and I play (as a party, not clan) and we come across groups like this once in a while. Everyone ends up quitting the lobby (we try to also but once in a while we either can't or don't care). I love a good ass whooping now and then but honestly, in the objective based games we play, I love it when the final score is really close and each point matters. Even when we are on the winning side of a lopsided game, it gets really boring. Once I find myself trying to run around with a knife or axe for laughs, there's a problem.

Seriously, what is a clan of super players hoping will happen? That they'll come across another great team?

Yes, probably getting achievements, likely for gun camos. They were probly doing it in TDM because Dom doesn't have a kill limit and they typically have more time to do it. In Dom, demo, etc, your number of deaths or kills doesn't affect when the game ends. So if you're going to die 20 times in order to get a couple crossbow kills or impact SMAW hits, you have more time to do so.

My group that I run with we used to play as a clan but people leave as soon as they see all the same clan tags so we have stopped doing that. I wouldnt consider us a "super clan" since we are just a group of friends that have been playing together for +5 years. Last week we did encounter a full clan, the really dumb ones where they even have their gamertags alike, and we owned them. It was great seeing them all leave during the second round of CTF.

I've not been loving this release. I was sad to find it seemed to have much worse connection issues than MW3, I was very hopeful that it'd be as solid as Blops 1 mostly was in regards to the host issues.

In Blops 1, if I became host it was a very slight advantage to me typically.

In MW3 it was always a huge disadvantage to me. I could NEVER react to anyone before they killed me and on the replays it looked like I never moved before they got off their 1st shot.

I found the same to be true for Blops 2 that being host is a disadvantage.

But even worse, when I wasn't host I still had nonstop shuddering and lag issues in game that caused me to time and time again die in a confirmation and had me to the point of giving the game up.

I started looking at my home connection. Speedtest.net always ranked me as a top rated connection but then I found pingtest.net and realized I could almost never get a "A" rating and at least a "B" rating which they themselves said could cause issues with online gaming.

Unrelated to this newly discovered issue, I snagged a Apple Time Machine refurb that was a great deal and that was delivered yesterday.

I hooked it all up and did some more pingtest and ever single time I always without fail get a "A" rating now.

I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I put back my other router and sure as shit I always without fail got a B rating.

So I played for about 2 hours last night and never came in below 3rd place and about half I was 1st place, the only exceptions were when I was host, which is still an issue regardless of how solid my connection is.

So a word of advice from my own experiences, check your connection if you're having the issues like I was. Use pingtest.net to see how you rate.

If you get a A rating every time then at least you know its the game and not you.

Change the type of connection it finds to best. I almost never have connection issues.

I must say I had a rather nice night of playing Mercenary Moshpit. Nobody picked stupid game modes like S&D (sorry, why would you want to play S&D with no team?!), the connection was fair most of the time, and I was back to my usual 2 K/D self.

They really need to just turn competitive matchmaking OFF in the pub lobbies. Why have a League playlist at all if I'm going to be matched up with other people that have a comparable score per minute?

So what's the consensus on this game: worth it or not?

I'm having a good time with it and in terms of value the price is dropping. I know it's $49.99 at Target and soon to be at Wal-MArt. I also saw a deal earlier this week where it was $35 at Hastings. I'd suggest just waiting it out for the right price over the next week or two at this point.

It's okay, definitely improved since launch week when clans were on 24/7 ruining everybody. I probably won't play it as much as I've played some of the other COD games due to not liking it as much.

It's different. MP is much more team focused, at least right now. Kill streaks are harder to get in TDM. Kill streaks can be easier to get in objective game modes. Camping is relatively limited. Overall improved, but it IS different and can be frustrating.

I'll reiterate, overall worth getting. Of course, I hope you are getting it for the MP or Zombies. SP has never been anything special on COD...

Huge patch on the way. Universally, some weapons are re-balanced (nerfed). And some will be buffed. I think Assualt weapons will get less sway.
Right now the PS3 is first, and it looks like there will be a ton of bug fixes.
Hopefully the 360 patch will come soon. I put it down hoping the patch will fix my frustrations with crap connections.

Are you talking about this?

If so, it's already out for PS3.

Wow, WTF is this? I just got the following warning:

Probation Warning
Completely finish games to avoid being placed into probation. If placed in probation, you will be temporarily unable to play Public Match or League Play games.

How about you fix your fucking matchmaking before this bullshit? Wow ... I'm speechless.
