i swear this game sucks.

Ok my xbox live expired a month ago so i haven't played Black OPs II online since then. I renew my xbox live today pop in Black OPs and click xbox live. Message pops up and say

""All Your Stats Have Been Reset"

so now i have no emblem, classes, or anything so i have to start all over again which really pissed me off

Why would they reset your stats?

I ended up trading this in yesterday. It was neat to play an FPS for the first time in awhile but I think I'll wait until another good WW2 one comes out before giving it another shot.

After playing for a bit, this game blows. It seems so half assed. 90% of the people that I roll with no longer play it. They're done. None of them are getting map packs or anything, and I can't say that I blame them. The game mechanics are way off compared to the previous versions and the game seriously lacks polish and attention to detail.

Remember blops 1 with the interactive things on maps, and little things like NVA saying "do ma". How about Pacquio and the Russians in Zombies.. So much character missing from this game.

All my COD buddies have quit this as well, some of them have gone back to MW3, some have moved on to BF3PC. I think the WW2 genre has more to give, and for that matter, why not a really good Vietnam game?

Or the biggie for me, WW1 1914/1915 could be amazing. Not so much the static trench warfare of the later years, but some of the early stuff could make an amazing game. Cavalry, cannons, etc.

I think we've done the modern era to death honestly Of course we've had a million WW2 games earlier, but there is lots of room to expand on it.

Not any major ones from what I can tell. Haha I remember loving Blue Max waaaay back in the 8 bit era, a WW1 flying game.

It's ripe territory for interesting missions/feel.

The first battle of the Marne alone would make an epic game.

No, and for good reason. Weapons are basically limited to bolt action rifles and emplaced machine guns. Almost every attack falters against massively more effective defense. It ended in an armistice because no one could actually gain enough ground to win it.

It'd be a silly game...it hardly even works in a strategy context.

Go do some reading, there was plenty of breakthroughs, counterattacks, etc early on, along with pistols, melee, gas, etc. Not everything has to be hyper spam twitch SMG style.

Well I'd rather not play a game where half the time I'm sitting in the trench hiding from artillery and poison gas. I do love WWI in general more so than WWII but it doesn't make for a good game.

Yeah, I know that happened here or there....but I just don't think they can build a full game around it, especially not cod.

I could imagine cod going back to WWII next gen, and I wouldn't be opposed to a flashback mission or two from WWI. I think they could def make that work.

One of the main reasons WWI came to an end was that disease, like influenza, was killing more soldiers on both sides than weapons were. Not too exciting.

Yeah I wouldn't want that part to play much of a part either. I've got the Time Life WW1 books along with a handful of others, there were a number of interesting breakouts and not everything was the western front of course.

This cod to me is the worst Ive played in years. I just cant get into it at all. Ive played one level of the story so far and am around 40ish online. I didnt care for the story of blops either though, way to much jumping around.

To me it's just like the other cod. The story is just as jumpy as the last one. I don't mind the online I don't play all the time.

It's my least favorite campaign by far. It's not as fun as mw2, not as insane and over the top as mw3. Blops 1 had a few moments with the Vietnam stuff, blops 2 is just kind of meh all the way through, and SO MANY cutscenes.

Usually cod is like 95% gameplay, here you're watching a cutscene 50% of the time, and I'm just not playing cod for its story, and never will. It just gets in the way, and its kind of lame on top of that. Treyarch's campaign team is still the B team, they've never understood what was fun about cod....they listened way too much to the criticism from people who probably don't play cod to begin with, and basically ruined it.

Yeah ill agree the campaign of blops was not the same we were used to. Modernwarfare and mw2 both had decent campaigns. Mw3 was starting to get like blops at one point but still maintained somewhat the feel of the previous versions.

I'm sad that it seems like not many ppl here like it I was going to go buy it... but prob not now.

I h ave COD4 for PC and I loved playing the obscurity mod.

Dont go based on peoples opinions. Make your own and rent it to try it first.

Well I like it. The lag can be infuriating at times but a lot of times it's ok. If it gets bad I just quit, I couldn't care less about my W/L stats.

To be honest, I've only played one CoD campaign. Black Ops 1, and it's because I was up late and my internet went out. I haven't touched another campaign. I only buy it for Online Multiplayer.

I've also been pretty much exclusively HC TDM, but in BO2, I've migrated towards HC KC as there is nearly 3x as many XP given out per match. I haven't scored less than 20 kills since I switched to KC. Much less camping with the drive to pick up the tags.
