All this nonsense about whether or not he was born in Hawaii is a moot point, as that fact is not in contention in the case the Supreme Court may elect to hear.

Actually there were a bunch of law suits that were filed, some of which really did challenge the authenticity of the HI birth cert, and didn't focus on the quasi-interesting legal question of what constitutes a "natural born" citizen.

In other whacko news, start typing "obama" into google and the first auto-complete suggestion that pops up below is "obama birth certificate".

The state of Hawaii's official statement that the certificate was legitimate didn't make a dent?after all, who is Registrar of Vital Statistics Alvin Onaka to argue with Techdude?

Even better is the republican congressman from Utah, Chris Cannon, who thinks Obama had Bill Ayers shadow-author Dreams from My Father. This guy got elected to national office. It never ceases to amaze. At least he lost the primary this year and will be leaving office shortly. holy chowder.

Obama's Paternal grandmother said that she was right there in the Kenyan village where Obama was born. What's funny about conspiracy nuts is that when yet another body shoots down this ridiculous lawsuit they immediately assume that this new body is just covering things up too. Nothing ever needs to be proved, the conspiracy is already proven in their mind. Obama's grandmother's conversation is edited to remove the part where she confirms he was born in Hawaii, but that doesn't matter. To nuts like K3N it still counts as proof. This is what happens when you start with a conclusion and then search backwards for evidence to support it. They rely on a standard of proof so flimsy that anything and everything can be true. The worst part is when you try to tell them they're wrong you just become part of the conspiracy yourself or a brain dead sheep. There's no acknowledgment that they might be wrong.

The funny thing is that this case itself that K3N is so sad was dismissed, as part of the evidence it supplies, admits that Obama was born in Hawaii. It challenges him on the grounds of dual citizenship, not birthplace. How do you square this with the fact that not even the lawsuits you are supporting agree with you? Are you just picking and choosing arguments from each case that you think are true and ignoring inconvenient ones? They couldn't even muster 4 votes on the USSC of justices that considered there to be a reasonable chance that the case might be decided differently, much less actually decide the case differently when having heard it. It's not just over, it's decisively over.
