I am not a pro by any means when it comes to the new "phones" my company provided me with a TMOBILE simple cell phone--equipped with a simcard.
My girlfriend then gave me her Blackberry 7290 (since her company upgraded her to another phone).
So without knowing anything I popped in my sim card and the 7290 works beautifully as a cell phone.
I am curious though, although it says DATA CONNECTION REFUSED (since my company doesn't have the data plan), will my company get charged extra by simply having my sim card in a BLACKBERRY?
I just have mainly two questions: I used the text msging a lot on the old cell... is Short Msg System SMS thing the same on the blackberry? And am I ok to use the other aux services of the blackberry like the calender and the memo pad?
In a nutshell I want to use the blackberry (w/o syncing or anything that comes w/ the data plan) but I don't want my company to get an invoice that shows a bunch of extra charges that show me using a blackberry instead of a normal phone they provided.
Thanks
