Still waiting for some legit review sites to weigh in, but the reviews thus far seem mixed. Any opinions?

I'd love to play around with one if I could get it cheaply. The 4.5" square screen and minimalist physical keyboard interest me the most, and the specs are pretty close to other flagship phones. If enough Android apps run well enough on BlackBerry OS 10.3, I might get one in the future. The price would have to be right, though.

I want to see BlackBerry ditch BB OS in favor of Windows Phone. I know WP doesn't have much market share, either, but I think BlackBerry's hardware is a perfect match for WP. There can't be that many developers making BlackBerry apps.

Seems too big, too awkward, I won't be buying it....but it has some unique ideas to it. The touch sensitive scrolling on the keyboard is a really cool concept. I kinda want to play around with one. Surprised to see they've already sold over 200k of them. Hey - I'm all for it doing well. Competition is good. And I'd love to see the hardware keyboard make a comeback!

Will buy a white one as soon as I see it on Craigslist for a decent price.

The centerpiece of the phone is the keyboard yet they change the locations of the lower letters and the space key? I don't get it. Everyone is used to one keyboard layout on phones and PCs so I don't see how they expect to be successful getting people to adopt a niche product with a completely new layout.

Maybe it isn't that hard to get used to but I'm not interested in finding out myself.

So it looks like AT&T will be the only US carrier to sell it. Unlocked phones = expensive. Crap, if that's the case it will be eons before I can get one for t3h cheaps on Craigslist

I am a Blackberry guy, but that thing is ugly and the keyboard is all messed up. I wouldn't own one.

The upcoming Blackberry Classic is gonna get a good, hard look, though.

From everything I'v eread, I want one. But I won't be getting it. Mostly because I am a runner and use the GPS on my phone. And the phone goes into an armband. I can't imagine with that in an armband.

Yes, I would leave Verizon for it.

I'm basically waiting for the Z10 replacement though. I don't want a 5" screen (like the Z30). My wife has that one and I find the smaller screen to be much more useable.

FWIW: My wife told me to get her a new phone a year ago. I researched them and got her the Z30. Her comment a week later (I waited) was that "I love this phone". Oh, she doesn't play games. She does e-mail, phone calls and takes pictures. That's about it. Maybe some web browsing.

For those that asked above, the 10.3 OS is supposed to run over 90% of all Android apps. Most of the ones I care about work (Pandora and Netflix). Granted Netflix is going to HTML 5 so the need for an actual app pretty much isn't needed anymore. And there is an app called Apollo (a front end for Pandora) for BB10 that is way better than the Pandora that is available for Android. I mean ... Apollo is better than Pandora on a stock Android. Not just BB10 running the Android app (which it does well).

I love the shape, but no removable battery = no buy. I need a removable battery because of battery bloat that happens sometime around year 2. (I keep phones for an additional 2 years off contract as an international travel phone)

If the new OS had much better support, I would have picked up the Classic for my mom.

On an unrelated note: I used to go to Bloomington all the time when I lived in Brooklyn Park.

My mom would definitely prefer the Classic.
But she would need to use the BB Exchange at her law firm, and I dont know if they even support the new OS. No idea how much work that would make for them or if they are inclined to do it.

Why release the "Classic"? They already tried releasing that with the Q10 over a year ago and that flopped horribly.

Yea lack of official banking apps is killing me, the non removable battery is the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm going to switch over to the Note 4 because of the $200 rebate.

It's got a trackpad and there are some OS tweaks. J Chen said that it was supposed to lure/transition the existing customer base on legacy BBs over to OS 10.

I want the Passport so bad, but no Verizon totally sucks. My contract went up 2 months ago and I've been waiting to get a passport to replace my crappy S3 (After a S1 and now this S3, I've come to the decision that Samsung freaking blows for a reliable phone that can last at least two years with hard enterprise use).

Considering jumping to AT&T to get it, or buying it unlocked and throwing T-M or AT&T Sims at it. Kind of looking forward to the Classic but I really want that wide screen.

What support does your mom need?

EDIT: Nevermind. Saw the follow up post. I'm surprised an enterprise user would not want to get things done fast. If they use phones for work, there is no reason to not get a passport. BB10 is built from the ground up to save time (be productive), not waste it (play games1
