here are the options...

Cingular - BlackBerry 8700c

Verizon - BlackBerry 7250

my family is on the Verizon plan and it would probably be about $10 cheaper a month.... I like the look and screen resolution of the 8700c but the 7250 seems like a solid phone... anyone let me know of past or present experiences! please... thanks a lot

I have this one, I really like it. Takes a while to get used to the typing, but after you do it's great.

i played with one similar to that one today in the evrizon store... the typing sure was awkward!! i dont know if i could ever get used to that after being so frustrated with my flip phone right now!! a big part of why i am getting a blackberry is to have the full qwerty keyboard... is it really that awkward or is it easy to get used to the half qwerty keyboard because i did like the phone... it was the 7130e

I have the 7250. Bluetooth FTW!

I had a 7750 with the huge screen, but it was dog slow. The 7250 is way faster.

the wide-format ones suck for the casual user. They are a little better if you are sitting down and typing an email, but for on-the-go typing the slim-line models are MUCH better

Imagine holding a brick next to your head. It looks ridiculous. Get a smaller phone!

I hate blackberries. I simply can't get them to work right. Anyone having luck with theirs and just regular pop3? Seems like it only worked with a dedicated server.

The 8700c is the own. Period.

Even my dad has one now, and if he can run it, anyone can.

Bluetooth earpiece buddy! Then you can join the crowd of the "I look like a schizo club" walking around the stores talking to your other selves.

How can people type a lot on those things is beyond me. I bet those ladies that can pick crabs can type 50 wpm on one. :Q

I don't own one, but I've set up a couple dozen over the past couple months.

Excellent screen, dedicated send/end keys, programmable softkeys, smaller, faster, works with EDGE, latest OS out the box, improved keyboard (subjective).

Truest statement ever made on ATOT.

I have tried every Cingular phone made, including the 8125 SP. I always go back to my 8700c.

I have the verizon blackberry 7130 and I love this phone. Will never have a regular phone again. The browsing on the net is much faster than my uncle's cingular phone. I also work with a guy that has the T-Mobile service. Everyone likes the verizon in my area.

Blackberries are good for emailing (the wide format ones).
The software though is an absolute piece of crap!

Go with a Pocket PC.

And stay away from Verizon and/or Sprint if this is for business use.
