I've watched all the 30th anniversary Blu Ray supplements, but these pictures are still really interesting, thanks for sharing. In one of the documentaries, they have footage of the Tyrell building you can see in some of those images, accidentally being lit on fire. If I recall correctly, one of the lights got a bit too close.

Is it just me or do I prefer the old-school modeling compared to modern CGI? Both art in their own right but I prefer the analog nature of the former.

That reminds me, I really should pick up the BR version of this movie at some point. I think I paid $0.88 for the DVD copy I have, so I don't feel too bad about double buying.

yeah, the Deckard Narration, which is in the original theatrical release version. One of the primary reasons it was panned by most. It is the first version I remember seeing, of course.

Thing about it is that it is totally unnecessary to the plot, and pretty much erases the central ambiguity of the final scenes (which actually change depending on the version). That, and voice over tends to be a big no-no in any film--should be avoided if at all possible. Pretty sure Scott fought to keep it out, but the studio forced it in, based on the assumption of dumb audiences.

You need to watch the Director's Cut. The Blu Ray set is awesome.

What's the status on the followup?

It's being directed by Denis Villeneuve and both Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott have been praising the hell out of the script, but who knows if that means anything. Villeneuve is a great choice at any rate, really excited to see what he does with it.
