Hrmmmmm let's see.
Phantom Hourglass would have been great if the ship parts weren't random.
Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts would have been great if the game ended around 90 jiggies or so.
Dragon Quest 1-3 would have been great if I hadn't played them after the vastly improved 4-6.
Dragon Quest 8 would have been perfect if the battles weren't so damn slow.
Oblivion could have been great if the world had been more focused and more varied.
Animal Crossing:City folk could have been great if it added ANYTHING to the previous three iterations.

- Dead Rising could have been fantastic if it weren't for the timer.
- Crackdown could have been fantastic if it weren't for the lack of a superhuman enemy.
- Mario Galaxy/Zelda could have been fantastic if they weren't on the Wii.
- Madden could have been fantastic if it weren't for the exclusive NFL license.
-Dead Rising was amazing and the timer was integral to the way the game was meant to be played. That game single handedly justified the jump the 360. Everything else is gravy.
-Wrong. Crackdown was great regardless of the enemies.
-Twilight Princess would have been great if the game had a soul. The motion controls weren't the title's problem. Mario Galaxy was great, however. It's possibly the greatest game to be released on this generation of home consoles.

Assassin's Creed etc
So true. That game just got booooooooring.
As long as we're doing opinions, I may as well chime in with my own.
- Dead Rising had awful controls and I couldn't figure out the gameplay. I didn't know what the point was. I died a few times and had to keep going back a LONG way because there were very few save points. Eventually it was too much and I gave up on the game. The only part I enjoyed was taking pictures. Seems the whole point of the game is simply to frustrate the player.
- Crackdown was fun but it sucks that all the enemies disappear the moment you take down all the gang leaders. At that point, all you can do is jump around rooftops or kill civilians. No more enemies at all. That was stupid.
- Already commented on Zelda (WAGGLE amirite?).

I didn't mind for the most part, but I like the puzzle game it's based on, too
I did not, however, like the fact that sometimes it was impossible to win (overload/alarm tiles blocking every possible route between the in/out tiles)

I'm pretty sure there was always a possible route; however, sometimes it was virtually impossible to actually find because it required you to replace the first or second pipe in order to get to it. Not only is there very little time to do that (you only have 1-2 seconds before water moves into the first pipe and another 3-4 seconds before it moves into the second), but you wouldn't even know which direction you'd have to go unless you knew the locations of all the blocking tiles.

I can assure you I ran into multiple occasions where all possible paths were blocked. They were usually on the larger ones.

Any console FPS would be fantastic if it had keyboard and mouse support

Metal Gear Solid 2 would have been fantastic if you got to play as Solid Snake and the plot didn't go down some bizarre "everything is make believe" storyline which ranks as possibly the worst story ever in a major video game.

I much prefer the inventory in KOTOR 1 and 2.Originally posted by: chrisg22

Most games could be better if they didn't force you to constantly pick shit up. Examples: Bioshock, Fallout 3. Mass Effect has the right idea where you basically just autoloot everything.
And what's the deal with an inventory limit? You mean I can only carry a rocket launcher, machine gun, a mini nuke launcher, a flame thrower, a minigun, a rifle, 30 grenades 500 first aid kits, 700 rations of food, 1000000 in currency, in addition to what I'm already wearing... BUT ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT WOULD JUST BE RIDICULOUS AND UNREALISTIC.
Yes the inventory is what is pissing me off with Fallout 3 right now. After every trip i make searching through a new area i have to head back to megaton to my house and drop all my shit off down to the bare minimum so i can pick up more crap at the next location. Really annoying.
Also I hated it in oblivion too, having to walk up and look at every single locker/box/etc for something to be in it.
