i bought my cpu and w/o the gfd it is a 650, but w/ the gfd i run stable at 850 ... thing is, i paid for a chip that was supposed to be stable at 900...oh well...50 mhz isn't gonna kill me

Intel P III Slot A 700E Cco step @ 1050 mhz default voltage with Alpha P3125 (i think ) in Abit BE6-II R 2.0 / Hercules GF2 MX 100% stable @ 100 mhz AGP , this speed is with 28/Celsius under load , realy awesome chip , i still hawe that computer , my wife use dayly . Never try to occ more but is a damn speed increase from original 700 mhz @ 100 FSB , this was the best CPU i ever bought .
I had also a P III 600E Slot A Cco step also wich did 900 mhz @ default voltage .
My worst Slot CPU was a P III 700E who dis 840 mhz @ 1.8v , it was a Cbo step .

P3 use Slot 1 but i think this should be open to slot 1 too

Cel 333 to 500Mhz(5X100)

1 gig Athlon Slot A @ 1160 or so, can't remember. Sold it and it is still running great I hear. Man that thing was $1000.00 when it first came out.

I overclocked a Slot A non-TBird CPU from 700MHz to 1090MHz using a goldfinger device. The sucker even ran with no heat sink and @~1.9v for months before it started to be unstable. That's when my brother opened-up the case and saw the heatsink/fan dangling from the fan(s) cables. After re-attaching it the sucker ran perfectly. Try doing that to a socket CPU...
