This game is an amazing 2D fighter. If you like fast-paced 2D fighters with a memorable cast of characters GO BUY THIS NOW. Currently, there is no "Standard Edition" of this game being sold. The catch to that is the limited edition is at regular price ($60.00 USD)!
The limited edition includes a video containing basic mechanics and basic/advanced character strategies put together by the dustloop and shoryuken forums' folks and the game soundtrack. So, it's a steal if you get it before they run out.
Now for a quick overview of the game for those who don't know:
BlazBlue is a 2D fighter that is fast paced, combotastic, and has an...interesting cast of characters, ranging from a large breasted female doctor with a quarter staff to a death blob of pestilence. Every character is unique in playstyle and abilities (moreso than any fighter I've ever played) thanks to the "Drive" button. This button uses the abilities that make that character unique. For instance, Ragna's "Drive" abilities steal health, while Jin's freeze his opponents. The story, interestingly, is great for a fighting game, and the voice acting is pretty solid. It's a fantastic game that all 2D fighting fans should, at minimum, rent. The Limited Edition's video content is great for getting a basic grasp on the game system and character playstyles, so it's a steal to get it with the game at $60.
Edit: Graphics! The art style is absolutely gorgeous, from the backgrounds to the characters themselves. It puts Street Fighter IV's over-muscular, bro-faced apes to shame. (I like SFIV, too!)
Seriously, go buy BlazBlue.
