Good question! I just ordered one.
WUXGA - Time to rethink before it ships?
i've read a review of the 6000 on notebookreview, and the lcd is not inspiring like the new releases are from other manufacturers.
it sounds like it's not as good a screen as the 8600 even. it doesnt make any sense... laptops are supposed to be at the bleeding edge of size reduction and innovation... sort of like the concept cars of the auto industry.
why the heck is Dell going backwards with the lcd... it should at most utilize the same lcd stock that's been around for a year for the 8600 OR improve on it to match competition.
so the 6000 doesn't feel ultra solid, fine... it isn't that slim compared to that of other manufacturers in its same model line, fine... but the screen is a big down point.
wonder who makes this screen.
