Just remember to back up the key which on most of the stuff they do at this site is in the registry. If you uninstall and try to reinstall after the deal is dead you can't.

Cant find any keys, its activated thru the web going to their server (i believe). Are you referring to the registry key?

It's free...as long as you install and activate it before the time is up.
They include a program in most of the zips that connects to their site and activates the software. Basically it writes the license key to the registry. Some of the software though comes with a file that you have to copy over.

You can backup the registry key and uninstall. If you want to install again use the installer and then add the key by adding the registry back.

I don't get any spam e-mail as I never gave them my address.

It is different for every program. First search for the folder name where it installed. For blindwrite you could search for VOS or blindwrite. It is normally in HKLM/Software/
You will get several hits so you just got to check them all and see which has the key.
If the software wrote an install log you can probably scan it for the location in the registry. This is why I always stop at the install directory first, I look for a settings file that it could be in and/or the install log.
