from riznick @ FW

Compusa has the router for $99 before rebates.

On November 10th, Staples has it in its weekly ad.
Staples will have the router for $149 before rebates with a $50 MIR

Pricematch compusa to Staples and pick it up for
$94 - $50 MIR = $44

Add a $30 off $100 coupon and $6 worth of stuff and get the router for $14
Add a $20 off $100 coupon and $6 worth of stuff and get the router for $24
Add a $10 off $50 coupon and get the router for $34

----------
I ordered the router and some paper.
Price matched the router, and added the $30 coupon
I got the router for $14 + tax after rebate basically...

If you for some reason can not use the coupon, then $44 is still smoking hot

any details on the $50 rebate? netgear has a $30 rebate so if the $50 rebate is from staples this could get even hotter? or is the $50 actually $30 from netgear and $20 from staples?

The PM will work. There are many stores that have this router for around $100 bucks.

YMMV on the coupons though.

I don't think pm will work with rebate. They will claim that after rebate you're getting it for roughly the same price.
I tried pm with rebate before at my local staples and they didn't let me have it. good luck to those who try.

We are not pricematching a rebate. Staples will give a 110% pricematch as long as the competitor store
has it for less without mail in rebate. It doesnt matter whether staples has a mail in rebate on it or not.

If compusa has a $30 rebate. Staples wont pricematch the $30.

Only if you get a clerk or CSR who doesn't know Staples policies.

From Staples Price Match policy:
"Available coupons and rebates will be deducted from the Staples price to come up with a net Staples price when calculating the price match. For example,if you buy an item from us for $100, and we offer a $20 rebate, the net price is $80 . If the item is available from another company for $80 or more, there will be no price match. Another example would be if you buy an item from us for $159 and you have a $30 coupon the net price is $129. If the item is available from another company for $125, the price match will be for $4.40 (110% of the difference). "

Link to the pdf $30 Netgear rebate valid from 11/01-01/05 requiring original UPC and saying "This offer cannot be combined with any other Netgear rebate offers."

If the Compusa price has no rebates, then simply buy the router, use a coupon, go back later for the PM.

Does the Staples rebate require original UPC? If not, you can do 150-$50 MIR (staples)-$30 MIR (netgear)-$30 (off $100) and still get it for $40 without PM...

I just called staples and got excellent service. I got the PM and used the $30 coupon.
My price after rebate will be $14. Sweet!

1-800-333-3330
I ordered the Price matched router, and added $5 worth of paper
Then I used the $30 off coupon, no problem.

$14 is Blistering Hot
$44 is still Smoking hot for this router...

Really depend on your luck. I called in the morning and get approved immediately. The CSR knew what I would do after I gave him the item number..

third times a charm!! Now, does anyone know for sure if we can use a copy of UPC for the Staples $50 rebate so we can use the original for the $30 Netgear?

Yeah, no problem with the PM here. Ordered online early this morning, and called in to PM this afternoon. As soon as I gave her my order number she knew what, where, and the amount I wanted to PM to. Went through w/o a problem.

1. The MIC (Manager in Charge) at my local Staples assured me that Staples would accept a reproduction of the UPC in the case multiple rebates were available.

2. She could not confirm that this was a Staples only rebate, but the mail in address makes it look like a Staples rebate - I should be able to get the Netgear rebate.

3. If my total exceeded $150, I could send away for a $20 gift check, so I picked on a work related (therefore reimbursable) mini optical travel mouse and a binder for the wife.

4. Local Staples would not price match. Showed me policy that illustrated with their rebates, their price would be $79.

5. I pressed at the register for using the coupon code ($30 off), the cashier fussed and the manager said no. If I could document that I was sent that code by bringing in the email or certificate, I could come back later with my receipt and they'd give the $30 off, but they would not apply it based on a just a number.

I promptly dropped the $20 gift check offer in the mail (wife requirement) and then, disappointed with the in-store experience, checked the web site to see if I could do better. I could do the $30 off. I'm now at $99.99 now. The $50 Staples rebate would drop it to $49.99 and the $30 Netgear rebate would bring it to $19.99. I'm going to return the store bought device. Unfortunately, I don't have time to pester the USPS to retreive the $20 gift check give away from the corner mail boc

It has ethernet ports so if your desktop is close enough, you just need a NIC and network cable. If you want wireless, you can get either a wrireless receiver PCI card or wireless USB adapter. I'd opt for the latter as it's more flexible, you can also use it to connect a laptop for example.

I called staples....THE ORIGINAL UPC CODE IS REQUIRED FOR THE $50 REBATE...this means no $30 rebate on top of the $50. Also, they have dropped the price to $129 before rebate.
