And shocker to none, Varian now in HOTS.

Rag coming?

Yes he is, that will be interesting.

Varian will be either tank or assassin depending on talents taken.

Varian ptr next week, release week after. Rag hits PTR in december.

You'll have your chance to get the amani warbear again....as a HOTS mount. One of several mount/skins shown.

Nexus challenge coming, play 15 or 30 games with a friend during decmber -1/4 to get free skins/mount.

Hearthstone time.

Mean Streets of Gadgetzan is the next expansion.

5/2/4 hunter weapon that summons 1/1 beast when you attack.

5/5/5 lotus assassin, stealth when kills an enemy minion gain stealth. Ouch.

3/3/4 priest card, battlecry give +3 health.

New card type, Kabal. Can only be in priest, mage, or lock decks.

First one shown is discover but can be from any of the 3 classes.

Next is a legendary, 4/3/3, discover potion, gives you 3 choices with variable mana cost and power of card matches.

Launch early december.

D3 time.

Looks like they pulled the co-founder to come out since the other heads bailed recently.

Bringing Diablo 1 to Diablo 3.

16 cathedral levels. Fighting 4 original bosses.

Not sure if he is joking about limited movement/visuals to recreate the diablo 1 experience.

Must use a new character.

Hits PTR next week.

Another "shocker", necromancer to D3. Will be sold next year as a character pack.

Diablo III is getting two new zones similar to other ones that were added before. They're also adding the Necromancer as a new hero in 2017. However, the Necromancer will not be free and will be part of a character pack that also comes with other (unknown) stuff.

The Necromancer brings back some bad memories for me. I played Diablo II, but I made such bad talent choices on my Necromancer, that I couldn't beat Diablo. (I lacked Bone Wall. ) I ended up giving up on the game, because I would have had to redo everything over again, and I wasn't keen on that.

EDIT:

sombra and 2 new maps on ptr next week, third map in december.

That's not exactly the case. There's one new map called Oasis, which is what's coming out in December. The other things that they talked about (like the Antarctica map) will be part of this new thing called The Arcade, which includes different play modes. They mentioned 1v1... and I think it was 3v3?

More hearthstone cards: 6/1/1, battlecry summon a 6/6.

5/4/5 taunt, cost 2 less if 3+ opponent minions.

1/1/1 legendary with charge, summon from deck to board after playing a pirate. Showing with a rogue gang up and it gets ugly quick.

3/2/2 pally leg, taunt, shield, heals hero for damage caused.

Similar to the kabal card type, there is another that is for just pally/warrior/hunter.

For the spell/potion discover mentioned above, cost are always at 1, 5, and 10.

Shammy, Rogue, Druid form the third triumvirate.

3 cost spell, gain an empty crystal for each minion. Holly ramp up batman!

Druid leg, 10/7/7, gain 10 armor or refresh all mana crystals.

leg murloc, 5/2/4, when kills a minion summon 2 murlocs from your deck.

Personally I'm pretty disappointed in the Diablo 3 reveals. I was hoping for a second xpac. Seasons have gotten stale with the rift/g. rift/gem/paragon system. The game really could have used some new content and features. The Necromancer is nice (though I'm not thrilled at it being paid DLC) but it really doesn't do anything to evolve the game. The jaded player in me says it will just launch OP so everyone wants it and then after a few weeks they will nerf the crap out of it and then it will take a couple of patches to make them payable......I mean playable again.

Talking new wow patch philosophy. 7.1.5 next, bringing mist into time walking and return of brawler guild.

Brawler getting new bosses and possibility of random raid like battle.

Adding micro holidays.

As part of the class adjustments bringing traps back to beast master, Yeah!

7.2 tomb of sargeras.

Bringing back unlockable buildings similar to the Isle, this time it seems you vote for which one by contributing to its construction which may lock out the other(s).


Flying back in 7.2!!!!!!!!!!


And doubling up on Flying being around forever, they're adding class specific epic flight capable mounts.

Although priest looks bad on the ground, shammy pretty wicked, and new transformation for druid.

Tomb: 9 bosses.

Tomb started as the temple of elune, became the tomb and has substantial underground portion, looks at a glance a nightmare to imagine traveling down.

One of first boss is an interesting looking crossbreed of an infernal and pit lord.

The 'mostly' empty body of sargeras will be involved, as will kiljaeden.


Hey, a new dungeon. Novel idea. Last couple of expansion could have used that type of content. Dungeon will be the above ground portion of the temple/tomb.

Adding brawls from other games as a PVP experience. Not set on how often they appear/last.

For the lulz, blizz goes back to the well and first brawl type they show is a TM-SS pre cataclysm fight. After video said it would be 40 on 40 similar to the anniversary event.

Warsong where you can cap a flag without controlling yours, interesting.

A 15v15 arena, ugh.

New artifact traits and expanding current ones from 3 to 4 points.

Adding ability to purchase artifact knowledge levels for alts in 7.1.5 (sounds like you'll need to have a somewhat advance main first).

Expanding artifact questline, doing it allows expanding traits as noted above.

Adding more artifact appearances. Will be a solo questline experience similar to ancient leg weapons and warlock fire.

In 7.2 increasing baseline heroic/mythic dungeon difficult and item drop levels.

Kara getting modified in 7.2. Being split into 2. Will be able to do as mythic+ or heroic.

Ends the WoW presentation saying the goal for fighting the legion is to get to argus and shows the planet on screen.

Listening to the bit about the chronicle books, almost made it sound like they've known metzen was going to retire for a bit and made it part of his package to finish his work on the series first.

HOTS: Haunted mines returning! Adjusting golem spawns to be at a preset core distance and alternating lanes. More entrances into mines and mine boss moved into center. They expect map back in rotation by end of december.

Effectively removing hero level cap. Account level will be total of hero levels. Giving more frequent level up rewards (feels like overwatch boxes influencing them).

Interesting...adding hero swapping to draft modes.

Planning on limiting in effect map rotations for competitive mode.

D3:

The darkening of tristam event is in january and will be an annual event. Arrives with patch 2.4.3. They intentionally skewed character animations and graphic texture to give it the feel of playing the older game, but it is all done in D3 with D3 combat.

Even better, D3 getting an in game item armory manager. You'll be able to access wardrobe in town and save up to 5 complete outfits along with gems and skills. Once set, a single button press will automatically shift to your other outfits/skills.

Unsocket cost going away.

Ouch, Necromancer not coming until 2nd half 2017.

Seasons coming to consoles, lol.

Man, I don't know what it says about WoW, but the WoW Q&A felt so manufactured compared to the Overwatch Q&A. People had to come with the questions written on cards and they had a moderator (Panser/TradeChat from YouTube and season 1 of King of the Nerds) who handled the Internet questions. The answers were a little fun, but overall, it felt very controlled. Now, if you watched the Overwatch Q&A, it had no moderator and only took floor questions, which is arguably a negative for anyone not there, but it felt like you were addressing an entire panel that would have fun ripping at each other while still answering your question in a good, timely manner.

I ended up giving up on the game, because I would have had to redo everything over again, and I wasn't keen on that.

I thought two design flaws in Diablo II were the lack of a respec, and the online-chars-are-deleted-after-90-days.

They started that last year to attempt and get through more questions.
