Will of course have to see them in action but kind of disappointed that the Protoss gets another massive air unit. The Hellion transformation will be interesting.

Terran:
Warhound - factory unit
Battle hellion - less speed more health
Shredder - AOE damage

Zerg:
Viper - flying caster
Swarm host - buried broodlord?

Protoss:
Replicant - copy any non-massive unit
Orcale - scout and harass
Tempest - Capital ship with AOE air and single ground attack

I wonder if all of these will be in multiplayer. The Oracle and Swarm Host sound like great ways to annoy a human opponent, and the Replicant sounds overpowered, but obviously it must be taken in full context before making such declarations.

The videos I've been watching on youtube are interesting of each of the unit.

It's a bit odd that they've outright removed units in replacement of some others, like the Tempest replacing the carrier. It seems to me that they could have rebalanced the carrier and given it a direct use ability and it would come out as relatively similar.

I do have the mention that the Shredder seemed to be the most interesting unit. Depending on the cost and construction facility(I'll assume factory?) it gives a response to some annoying rush tactics.

I'm liking the shredder, it looks interesting to use. I also am liking how they are removing the mothership. That was just annoying.

I assume the units are attackable while "burrowed" based on what they said in the video. Given they have what looks like maybe a 3-5 range on their attack (not too sure), how useful will they be against most units? There are so few melee units in the game (zergling, zealot, ultralisk and queen), and roach, sentry and hellion might be in range given their relatively short attack range.

Although, Zerg and Protoss players do tend to still use zerglings and zealots in the mid/late game. So there may be some benefit, but nothing that they can't work around. Although, maybe Zerg could abuse that new unit's pulling mechanism to force the shredder to disable. I don't know if they even said it... but does the shredder only affect ground units?

errr.. zerg needs more more more

they also gave Ultralisk a burrow charge ability

I've also read that Banelings can burrow move via a Hive tech upgrade although I don't know if this is actually true.

anyways, I'm pretty sure the Viper is going to be a very good unit for Zerg.

I'm not so sure about the Swarm Host though. seems to spawn units at way too slow a pace but I guess it depends on how long the spawns stay alive before expiring.

I missed the actual announcement for that part (I was switching between the SC2 Multiplayer and WoW Raids & Dungeons panels), but there was a note about it on the slide, and something about Reaper regeneration.

Yea, I think the youtube videos alluded to the Shredder's being able to be attacked.

Since the example they gave where it turned off when friendly units were around they said that normally it wouldn't happen that way. So it seems like they meant that because of the aoe field being disabled the enemy would just destroy them.
I'm hoping that they have them available early on so you can rush into it for early defense, that would be when melee rush will be the most threat. I'm looking forward to seeing if you can position them around your base so they damage incoming attackers but the SCVs aren't in range for them to be disabled.

^^^^

my thought with the shredder is that it'll be used for multitasking to decimate opponent mineral lines

because Terran doesn't already have enough options to harass the hell out of the opponent
