I haven't seen anyone mention this so I'll post it.

Despite all the BS about how "evolved" we humans have become due to education, technology, fancy gadgets, better table manners, etc. we remain as tribal as ever - if not more.

When the attack happened in Orlando, the gay community was sad because gays died. Not because people died, but gays died.

When black people get killed or die, the black community gets sad because blacks died. Not because people died, but blacks died.

I could go on and on but this tribal mentality is like a disease that has divided us even more than we already were. We don't see people anymore - we see customers, clients, blacks, whites, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, browns, Jews, etc. We then box ourselves into little corners - such as race or sexuality. Gays support their fellow gay people and blacks support their fellow blacks. On and on and on.

I have not seen anyone talk about this sick, diseased mentality. Instead, we're wasting our time with BS such as better police training, better gay community relations, better this or better that. Sure, this might help a little but the root problem remains. Unless we see each other as humans FIRST, none of this matters.

I am a little conflicted by the use of explosives, but I guess it got the job done.

Earlier in the incident he had reportedly made threats about bombs. I think that is where he ensured that he would be killed if he did not surrender. The possibility he had a bomb with him, and would use it to kill any who tried to neutralize him (along with himself), makes a robot with a bomb being used to neutralize him absolutely logical.

Depends on who you are.
Wealthy or Politicly connected - not bad. Either not charged or fined or probation.

The rest - not so much. Jailed or imprisoned for the same crime.

LEO is special subset. They are close knit and willing to help cover up for others. The Wealthy or Politicly connected have to cut them some slack to keep the rest of us under control.

It is a good legal system.

You get as much justice as you can afford.


Historically speaking when the top gets too corrupt it usually ends badly.

Those who benefit from the corruption are the only ones who can change it. But, generally it is not in their interest.

I am not sure if it ever worked as well as believed just that speed of communication has improved. Media outlets are so desperate for add sales it gets repeated and hyped. So, the corruption appears more blatant.

Why do you feel so connected to your race? I'm asking this in sincerity.

It seems like identifying ourselves with some group, whether it's our race or religion, seems to be very important in this world. We need to find out the real reasons.

Often times, our identifying ourselves with our particular cause overtakes everything logical and sensible and turns us into such irrational beings.
