This is, to medicalize it, an outbreak that despite your insistence to the contrary shares a common goal and common methods. Certainly, you could attempt to argue that this is simply an emergent phenomena and all of these people just woke up one day with the burning desire to kill (white) cops but that would be even more extraordinary and even more deserving of attention because eventually it might spread to lives that matter.

That's not to say that there isn't an a black militia group that is either racist or has called for the killing of white people because there are but you aren't describing the BLM movement which is what this year is about.
I didn't say black power movement, but the Dallas shooter attempted to affiliate and the Tennessee shooter appeared to be involved in some black Israelite "they stole our iconography" business. There was a recent plot in Baton Rouge, LA where 4 conspirators were attempting to use stolen firearms to harm police officers.
Why would I be describing Black Lives Matter? That's a peaceful movement that just happens to attract people who want to kill (white) cops.
