It is reprehensible that a president, VP or other high ranking elected official even offer commentary like that that points a finger before the facts are known and investigations are concluded. The public gets enough of that shit via the talking heads on the media and on social media... ***But nobody carries as much influence as the POTUS does when he opens his mouth and speaks on a topic.

They carry perhaps part of the blame for what happened tonight in Dallas.

So again, waiting for investigations and facts only matters when a cop shoots someone? Right now, all we know is that cops got shot by someone at a BLM protest, no idea who the shooters were or what their motivation was. They could be skinheads for all you know. Maybe you should at least wait until the shooters are caught before you start blaming everyone who wants police to have a little bit a responsibility.

I always argue for waiting. I made quite the plea in the recent police shooting.

It never works.

People just jump right in immediately, stake out a position early, and often encourage the violence.

This is happening even outside of the police shootings. such as with university protests.

No one ever admits they were wrong later, either.

They shout from the rooftops 5 minutes after the incident, but say nothing after the full story comes out later.

I would agree... and the police moving around him aren't really noticing him either. Open carry is legal in Texas no? His carrying at the protest may have been his own form of subtle protest...Just like the guy they took down after that wearing a bullet proof vest... Which he was probably wearing as part of his protesting.

Either way, makes them people of interest, and right now if that black guy with the rifle had nothing to do with the shooting he is regretting being there with his rifle.

The key is "real or perceived". They are protesting two recent shootings where nobody knows the exact details. The court of public opinion has ruled and therefore they march and some assholes decided to escalate based on that initial bias.

It just you hypocrites that want everyone to want until an internal, biased, investigation is completed any time a civilian is killed, but as soon as a cop is killed you know all the facts, before the shooters are even identified. So maybe you should wait until there are a few more details than "police shot during BLM rally, no suspects identified."

Maybe it was a BLM protester that got extremized by a governor apologizing to a widow, but at this point it could also be a skinhead trying to make BLM look bad.
