BLM: Falcon Heights police fatally shot man

So yet another innocent black man executed by a cop. And pulled over for a "broken taillight"...bet if he was white, he wouldn't have been pulled over.

With the usual "reaching for gun" which is otherwise known as doing what the cop said when asked to show ID.

Like I've said before, cops can kill you for anything. And they will almost all of the time get away with legal murder. They tell you to get your ID, then shoot you for "making a furtive movement", or they shoot you for not moving fast enough (didn't raise hand fast enough). Or two cops tell you different things, then no matter what, you get shot for not obeying police commands.

I only wish to point out that despite being lilly white, I have been pulled over by Roseville police for an out tail light several times. But I don't disagree with the rest (but am awaiting more details).

What is there to "be over"? Being a CCW holder doesn't imbibe you with super powers such as the ability to never be involved in a police shooting incident whether justified or not and it shouldn't change the punishment the officer will receive if the later.

That cops have a habit of treating minorities a LOT differently than they would treat a white person in similar situations. This scary ass cop wouldnt have shot this man if he was white.

And if you think I'm lying, go ahead and search the internet for videos of white assailants defying orders...some with weapons...and observe how much the cops try to de-escalate the situation before going for lethal weapons. They are so quick to pull out their tasers and not their guns.

I used to live near there and have met the cop that did the shooting. It's a St Anthony policeman, Chinese. It sounds like he was unduly excited in the video. I'm not sure what else the victim could have done to comply.

Yep. That kind of racist perspective is exactly why we can't work towards resolving some very real issues. Instead of jumping to conclusions, making everything about race and marginalizing people's perspective based on their race, it would be a lot more powerful and constructive to look at the actual issues.

Which is extremely fucking frustrating. I've sat on the sidelines for far too long watching these things play out. But as a white person (or even a black person), what the fuck do we do to stop it? Yes, I was attempting honest discussion. I didn't know specifically what she meant and asked a clarifying question...this is how honest discussions work. She made a couple references to "you guys" which clearly included me in her broad generalization...yet doesn't have the balls to answer the question and tell me specifically what I'm guilty of in what I perceive to be a very confusing world view.
