No conspiracy theory, but nice "corporate shill" attempt.

My local stores jacked up the prices on "A beautiful mind", "Royal Tannenbaums" and "We were Soldiers" by $2 respectively for this promo, I had them scan it in to check against the prices I saw last friday.

Good deal on the cheaper DVD's, but watch the new/recent release for 'fluctuations'.

Gabbed Harry Potter, Robinson Carusoe, and Gosford Park for $9.99 each with 3 for 2.... $21.45 out the door. They also had A Beautiful Mind for $9.99, tempting... I noticed that prices were different at the Blockbuster accross town... weird.

My blockbuster had about 15+ copies of Unbreakable previously viewed for only 3.99 last week... i wonder if they're still there at that price for this promotion

Pinoy: do you mean to say you can get the $2 and the 3 for two promotion? I thought it was one or the other, I did see the coupon bar code on the side of the register (they scan it as you buy). I didn't think to ask her to scan both the 3 for 2 and the $2 off. Usually these promotions are "not valid with any other offer..." etc. There was a $3 off all previously viewed VHS and DVDs about two weeks ago... if you can combine that with the 3 for 2 that would be wicked! 3 DVDs for $14 + tax
