Didn't read all the posts but an interesting thing I read said that Netflix actually patented their whole concept of renting dvd's on the internet, the drop off exchange, etc. So they said that they will let others play right now but if they start to feel threatened (right now they have a VERY large market share), they will just call on the patent for infringement.
What is the difference between an unrated version of a movie and an nc-17 version?
The article states that Blockbuster doesn't offer nc-17 movies like Netflix does.
If you look up Requiem for a Dream though, you will find that BB online carries both the R rated version and an unrated director's cut, while Netflix offers an nc-17 version.
I know the nc-17 version has scenes that were edited out of the R version, but what about the unrated?
I am happy with the instore deal; the guy even holds movies for me, and gives me extra credits for scratched DVDs. I hope they don't discontinue that program.

In my two weeks i've only gotten 3 dvds and 3 on the way from blockbuster while i got 9 dvds already from netflix.
Yes, they do have bugs, I got the wrong dvd already, and I got a scratched DVD that couldn't play. But I forgot to mention that Netflix is faster because their local distribution is the city next door from San Jose while Blockbuster is in Sacramento.
