Blockbuster Game Freedom Pass Price Drop!

I went to Blockbuster yesterday to sign up for the game freedom pass, (which I do every once in a while to rent some games for my modded xbox, woo-hoo!), and found that they were charging about $15 instead of the usual $20. The posters around the store were advertising the price for $20, but when I got to the counter the clerk said that there's a $5 price drop, and my total after tax rang up to $14.68 or something! (Seems like it must have been a $6 price drop or something to come out under $15. Anyway, this is a pretty hot deal, unlimited rentals for a month for under $15.

Thanks for the tip - I do this a couple times a year and $15 bucks is definetly a hot deal as many games can be played through in the month time frame rather than coughing up the $50 per game.

RE "Advocating piracy..." Is that how you became a diamond member in 6 months by racking up thousands of useless, idiotic comments?

While I am a member of their movie freedom pass, be careful with the game freedom one. I have 3 blockbusters within 5 miles of my house, and all 5 have a pretty limited selection with limited copies of each. I think someone is much more likely to keep a game for 2+ weeks then a movie, not to mention there's usually many more copies of movies available.

For $15 though, it's definitely worth a shot. At the very least, if you didn't buy it, rent and beat Ninja Gaiden

although that MAY be the purpose he is using it for, it is none the less a hot deal IMO. $15 for a game pass if pretty damn good esp since one single game costs $6.50 when tax is included at my BB

Wow, didn't mean to start such controversy mentioning that my Xbox is modded, geez! Anyway, regarding the issue of not having enough games in stock, I've found that if the game you want is not out on the shelf, if you ask at the counter they usually have an extra copy or two that they don't put on the shelf because it would take up too much room. At my local blockbuster that's the case, at least. And yes, make sure you tell them, as soon as you sign up, that you want your game pass canceled automatically after the month, or else you will continue to be charged.

you know you'd think since they have your membership #, they would know that you've already signed up for the game pass in previous months. One of the wonders of a database that can track what you're doing.

about the stock thing, there were some games that i noticed were never in stock, so i brought up the display box, they scanned it and found the disc behind the counter for me. they told me its cause it was prob scratched. i did that with like 5 games in a month. ask and recieve. as for them remembering if you canceled... i hope they dont. cancel your pass very soon after starting it, cause its still valid till it runs out.
