Just started a new billing month with my Blockbuster membership and was surprised to discover that I am still getting the 2 free instore coupons in addition to the one each week free rental. Six free instore rentals per month. I thought I had signed up to switch from the 2 each month to one each week. May not last long but it's hard to beat. Guess I'll remain a member for a while longer.

I recently signed up with BallBuster for another month just to see if their service improved any.. nope. Still takes nearly 2 weeks to turn around 3 movies. I'm not sure what their problem is, but the turnaround times to my area are pathethic. That's not to say Nutflix is much better... on their 5 at a time program I'm lucky to get 15 movies a month... they purposely slow down turnaround by delaying sending my new movies by one or even two days... it's quite damned annoying.

I just did the same thing...but even with netflix slowing it down, it still is faster then blockbuster

if you have 5 movies a month, you might try keeping 1 movie out for longer and then i guess they dont throttle you. My brother has 3 movies out at a time, usually 2 for him and 1 for his wife...his wife keeps hers for anywhere from 1-3 weeks from when she gets it...he has never been throttled when he returns his other 2

I guess I can't complain too much. They throttle me somewhat so I only get 3 a week. But with the 6 free instore rentals I'm getting in one month it works out to be a bargain. I can understnad why they would throttle customers who live only the next postal service day away. They are in business to make money. I'm 2 to 3 days postal service away so the best I can expect is to get my 3 a week. I put 2 movies in the mail Wednesday so they had to have received them probably on Friday, definitely by Saturday, but they didn't show having recieved them until Monday. I guess they do the same with shipping, showing a movie shipped today and it doesn't ship 'til the next day. Still 18 movies in a month for $17.99 plus tax is a bargain. And Netflix had throttled me to the point where I didn't even get 3 movies a week.

I've been with BB for about 6 months now. Was great during the first month free, then after that it started to take 5-6 days to turnaround movies and was starting to piss me off. However the last 3 months or so it's really improved. I send in a movie on Monday, get a new one by Wednesday/thurs at the latest. Think they've improved their distrubtion system vastly in the last few months. 3 out plus 2 rentals/month for $18+tax is a great deal!

how do you get 6 free per month? I thought it was either 1 per week..or 2 anytime per month. Never heard it was 6 a month...please clarify..

I changed to the one each week, but the two a month coupons still show up as available on their website for me. So at least for now I get one each week plus am continuing to get the 2 a month free as well.
