166 Fsb / 1743MHz

just got my 1600+ and MSI KT3 Ultra2 with a Volcano 9.. it SMOKES!!!!

got the FSB to 166 with default voltages no problem. I got a AGIOA 0213SPOW. The mobo is great too. I ran the burn-in test in Sandra for about 2 hours and the max temp reading i got was 43degrees C. BTW, i am running standard Crucial 2100 DDR.... time to try for more.. hehehehe

wow, my max fsb is at 164. mobo settings dont go any higher than that. fastest i get is xp2100. i up my multipler and it stays at xp2100. i dont think mobo supports anything faster than that. however, my temp is at 60C with the case OPEN.

Check w/your mobo's mfr website to see if there's an updated bios available.....That'll usually take care of the recognition problem.

nope my msik7t266-pro is archived at msi's website. last bios update was january.

cpu support up to xp2000+ is confirmed.

for xp2100 and xp2200, it says N/A

heheh.. had to post to it... if u need a cheap upgrade this is it ... my 1600+ is chugging at 2200+ speeds... using an ax-7 with a panaflo... my computer went from slow and noisy... do fast and virtually silent! i couldn't ask for anything more! (49 deg under load)

What stepping did you get from tcwo? I'm in CA as well and I might order from them if they have the right stepping.

This is so hot. I just got my cpu AROIA Y. It is currently at 164 * 10.5. I got crappy ram I can't believe it has gone so high. Running prime95 as I type this... been half an hour everything is ok.

One thing though... I had the hardest time unlocking this.... Somehow my hand just ain't steady enough... sigh so no unlocking for me. I am such a loser... spent 3 hrs working on my comp. DAMN PAL8045. Well going for 166 right after I type this. wish me luck.

I ordered one, btw, figure try my hand at overclocking.

I had a pc that froze and reset itself all the time - the xp1700 amd with a k7s5a ecs mb. I have an ata 133 card in there, and the mb didnt agree with it. Would hang on large file transfers between drives. Once I flashed the bios, its smooth and stable. So if you have reset problems, it may be the mb. Check the temp the chip is running at - either thru the mb diagnostics or software programs, and flash your bios to the latest - may help.

I got a AROIA-Y fomr newegg about 3 weeks ago. It runs 1.9 Gig at 1.9v's... sweet little chip. I haven't tried higher at 181fsb now... Not even gonna bother unlocking it...

I ordered one last week and my son ordered one earlier this week and we both got an AGOIA Y. My cpu is running at 1750MHz locked with Micron PC2100 using 8K3A board and my son is running at 1904MHz with cpu locked with Corsair PC3200 using KX7-333 board. Both systems are very stable although my system failed Prime95 torture test while his passed.

His ram is a lot better though. that might be whats limiting your O/C
