And this my friends is why we're getting a Transformers 3

Thank you Quebert, from the bottom of our hearts... thank you.

I don't go to movies ever, and I can't remember the last time I bought a DVD. I'm not buying the Blu Ray drive it's being given to me. The few DVD's I do own I'm more into the behind the scenes stuff showing how they made certain special effects. This 1st Blu Ray is probably the only I'll ever buy. And I'll be buying it used off Amazon so no movie company will make a dime off me. If the movies being made were based off the movie decisions I made there would be no Hollywood

If you are looking for how special effects were done then I will say The Matrix Collection or Inception. Both had a lot of that.

Ditto. I buy movies only if I know it packs a kick-ass commentary track or if I am really curious about everything that went into its production design (I like David Fincher movies and he usually has excellent commentary tracks). I've never actually watched a Christopher Nolan movie with his commentary on but I imagine listening to him would be a treat too.

Need more free time.

I have no idea what movie it was, but I watched maybe 15 minutes of a Blu Ray at a friends house. A PIP with extra video popped up a few times while we were watching the flick. He said if he had clicked on them they would launch into bonus features. I'm unsure if this is common with Blu Rays, but it was pretty cool. Was like the behind the scenes on my DVD's but way more interactive.

I think that my "The Mummy" bluray has this feature. I've only really watched it once though and didn't enable it.

I got the box set for like $10 on amazon.

The only extras I care about are funny out takes. Don't see that much any more.

Iron Man 2 on Blu-Ray has some good bonus features.

If you're into Anime... Green Lantern: First Flight has good bonus features too.

that isnt what im saying
im saying i dont have faith in bluray as a format
in my life
i dont see a future with bluray in it for me.
br has been supplanted by hd on demand for me/and netflix and broadcast
is the quality in inferior, sure
is it so inferior as to compell me to bother with bluray, not by a mile.
people like me? thats an interesting statement

Bluray is not obselete, it just is not for you, and not for many people. It will probably not become the dominant mainstream format, as Online/streaming will likely take the crown from DVD, however, for a decent number of people who 1.) have shitty internet access or 2.) have nice home theater setups, Bluray makes a big enough difference to be very much worthwhile... 1080p streaming tends to have artifacting (I don't notice it on a 27inch or a 42 inch, but on a 106 inch screen from a distance of 10 feet, minor imperfections are pretty obvious....)

Serenity is the only movie in recent history that I have seen with outtakes. I don’t recall well but Star Trek might have too.
