My wife and I were talking about BMG after seeing one of their commercials. Both of us just don't see the appeal of them, and we have no idea why they are popular. We tried watching a video of one of their shows (on demand through our cable provider), and we turned it off after a few minutes. Just seemed weird.

My Mom wanted to take my kid so I looked them up. 1st search ended up on ticket master....$100+ per....hell no. Straight from the Bell Auditorium...$65. Still pricey in my book but after the sticker shock from ticket master it didn't seem so bad....and Mom paid for them.:biggrin:

Saw them in Boston in a small theater. Wasn't thrilled about going but actually enjoyed it. I can understand how it wouldn't be as enjoyable watching a video.

There is, or was, more than one BMG show. I believe there is a permanent show in Vegas and a couple touring shows so the men in blue are not all the same.

I have a BR disk with one of there shows and it's pretty good. The backing musicians are all top flight musicians and the sound is excellent. If you have a decent home theatre you can't help but enjoy it.

Stomp is generally a bit cheaper and just as good a show, but IMHO both pale in comparison to Cirque du Soleil.

Cirque du Soleil did nothing for me. I don't like dressed up circus act. Give me straight circus act any day.

Enjoyed BMG when I saw them in Luxor in Vegas.

Saw them locally in 2007. It was a good show. Weird. But good. But it was for a friend's birthday; I would never pay $100+ per ticket to see them on my own.
