Blue screen error help

A friend of mine recently purchased a new computer and lately has been getting BSODs at random, forcing him to restart his system every time. This is the error message he gets every time:

STOP 0x0000000050 (0xBA3C0000, 0x00000001, 0x80539856, 0x00000000)
Beginning physical memory dump....


I'm personally not sure exactly what the cause could be, although my friend is a bit suspicious of the actually DDR2 memory in the system. Here are the important hardware specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (AM2)
Unknown motherboard (we're pretty sure it's the MSI K9N6SGM-V/K9N6PGM-FI/K9N6PGM-F series of Geforce 6100 chipset boards Belarc and CPU-Z ID it as MCP61).
2x512MB DDR2-533 (dunno the brand)
eVGA Geforce 7900 GT PCI-E card
350w psu
Windows XP Professional SP2

Any thoughts or or possible solutions?

Definitely start with the memory, more times than not I have seen Stop 50 errors because of voltage issues or memory issues. Sometimes it has been attributed to the video card but usually bad sticks is the cause. Also make sure the newest nVidia drivers are loaded on the system. Once you figure out the mobo, you want to make sure they shipped the machine with the newest BIOS and chipset drivers. I know this may all sound basic but we have fixed plenty of other vendors systems that shipped out without the basics covered.

Go to my BSOD web page (see my .sig) and go thru the steps listed to analyze the dumpfile and figure out the problem. Post the output of !analyze -v here.

Okay, we tried using the MS Debugger. As no minidump file was in his Minidump folder, we're sure it's hardware-related now. We'll try swapping the memory out and let everyone know what happens.

Or the PC's not configured to write a dump, or the storage driver is at fault, or .....

You're jumping to conclusions.....
