i recently got some ddr 1 so dimms from a friend i put them into my gateway mx6450 and they both gave me lots of issues both sticks are bad i m trying to figure out who made the one stick cause its got 2 different sstickers that have different companies one is king max and the other one is super elixir ill try to take a pic of the ram on both sides

the chips on the stick are nanya chips and i cant find the camera grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

you might be better off just buying yourself new ram. DDR is cheap as hell now.

chances are the ram you have is from batches that were really crap to begin with, so you're going to have trouble with it regardless of what they send you. rule of thumb in memory is not to buy the super cheap value ram of doom. i have tried this for several rigs in the past and i generally ended up just returning the ram (frys value ram /arg). typically anything with a head spreader wont have this problem though.
