My computer has been getting bluescreen at random times and I dont know why.

start testing your hardware, post in the hardware section.

Toss that OS and put xp back on or dual boot Ubuntu 8.10 coming out in 8 days.

If you can't help then don't bother posting,changing OS will not help if its faulty hardware.

Try Memtest86+link, ,its either a hardware problem( possible faulty ram) or possible driver issue,BSOD in Vista are not as common as what you can get in XP.

Did you make any changes to Vista just before the problem software or driver wise?..also any info in Performance and Reliability Monitor section(it normally makes a record of crashes and records them there on possible causes) click on the Reliability Monitor part in that section.

i will second the suggestion of memtesting. if your memory checks out, i would swap out vid cards, if all else fails, it may mean something may be up with the mobo, which is a pain to troubleshoot
