Bluetooth not found

Long story short, took an Intel Centrino N-1030 wifi/bt pci-e half mini card out of a Dell N4110 laptop and put it in a Gateway NV56R41U. Wifi is working great on the Gateway, but bluetooth is nonexistant. In both Ubuntu and Windows 10 it doesnt even show up as an available device. The bluetooth portion did work when it was in the Dell. I flashed the bios to get the advanced menu, but no options were in there for bluetooth. Ive tried installing drivers from Intel and the ones from the dell website (which doesnt work). Do I have any hope getting bluetooth working off this card or am I better off with a bluetooth dongle?

NM, I'm deleting this as it looks like you tried already. Bluetooth thru this adapter had nothing to do with the laptop's BIOS. You just need to play with drivers/config of the wireless card

Shouldnt device manager show it as an unknown device or something though? Or is it just because its bluetoooth it doesnt show up in there (since the centrino wifi does show up) I can continue playing with drivers.

Device manager knows nothing about features. If Device manager is showing the Wifi card, that's all it's knows. It's all in the configuration of the card

The dell drivers had to be put in compatibility mode to even start, but it just disappears right after it kicks up the intel installer.

The driver direct from intel does install, but it doesnt seem to do anything. No bluetooth options in windows, nothing in device manager. Ive even tried deleting and trying older versions of the driver, still nothing. I couldnt seem to find driver options for this card anywhere else.

I know bluetooth is a feature of the card but should I see something like this:

turns out if you just cover a certain pin, it enables bluetooth. Its working now for me.
