Blurry TV out?? Plz help...

I just got my new system up and running today, everything went smoothly until it was time to try the tvout. I've tried analog, NTSC, and a ton of different resolutions to no avail. The S-Video cable I am using was used on my DVD player for a few months and it always looked great. Anyone else have problems like this? Suggestions for a fix anyone?

i dont know how clear u will get a computer to display on a tv, because a tvs pixels are a hell of a lot bigger and the tv isnt as good as your monitor

Thx for the reply. I was thinking about getting a high-def tv soon anyways, hope I have better luck with that.

HD is a better res and smaller pixels, your screen will be a lot less blurry, but not as clear still as a monitor

Blurry and TV out is a two phrases synonymous with each other. See also: normal.

Blurry how? When you watch a movie does it look about right (if not as good as on the monitor) or way bad?

My old card I use for watching Divx looks acceptable for movie watching, even looks down right good sometimes. But when I close the player and am faced with the windows desktop it's horrid. Can't make out the text under icons, even the icons themselve aren't that clear.

It always looks blurry.. it's sometimes hard to make out text (depends on video card) ... TV out is not the greatest just yet.. it needs alot of work before it's actually useable (IMO)

My Geforce 4 mx was the best looking tvout to date...I have a hdtv ready big screen and I can read the text albeit it would give me a headache if I did it for a long time....no web surfing on the tv for me!!! My divx movies running in windvd look very acceptable!

My radeon8500le was pure crap from the beginning and it had all sorts of interference issues and then ofcourse driver issues before the catalyst came out as I had to use powered by ati drivers before...

It's the TV that needs work, not the video card. TV-out looks really bad on any regular tv set, and can look horrid on an old bubble screen set. It's not just that the tv pixels are big, but often there are major geometry problems, making text at the edges of the screen blurry and colors irregular. Plus, all the non-HDTV screens are at 60hz which is where the headaches begin after reading off the screen for too long.
