I thought it meant "Brings Me Women".
Some jackwagon parked his car in front of one of the bays at a neighboring FD, and they didn't know where he went. There were going to have it towed, but before a tow truck could get there they had a call. They merely opened the bay door, pushed the car off the apron, across the street and into a creek that was beside the road to get it out of the travel lane, then responded to the call.
The owner was cited, had to fix his own car, and had to pay for the damages (scuffed bumper) to the fire truck.
How so? Taking multiple parking spaces doesn't affect the health/safety of anyone whereas blocking a fire hydrant does.
If you take multiple spots with a single car you are a jerk, period. You don't have to affect health or safety to be a jerk.
So congrats on being a jerk! Way to go! You are yet another "the world revolves around me" asshats that we have more than enough of already.
Wow, are people even reading this thread? A reason is given why the side ports on the hydrant aren't used, and a person asks about the "splitter" thingy. Then an answer is given why the "splitter" thingy isn't used and people ask about the hydrant again. The answer is given and, again, people ask about the "splitter" thingy. Over and over.
Did you read what I wrote? I'm arguing that it would have been easier and better for the hose to go around the car. It doesn't help their case that the hose immediately turns to go behind the car in the pictures. Furthermore, the argument could be made that it would have been faster to go around the car, so they wasted time messing around with someone's car instead of fighting the fire.
Why don't they ever toss the hose under the car?
