Nah, there are plenty of other places to get your supplements - Vitamin Shoppe, Vitamin World, GNC, Amazon. Even grocery stores carry many brands.

I like bodybuilding.com's sales, but sometimes their shipping kills the deal.

I've never had a problem with their shipping. Not sure if you're referring to the cost.. or...? Most of the time if I order on monday, the product will be at my door weds or thurs. Can't beat that.

I still buy from BB.com... not that often though. I made a big purchase last year when they sent me a 30% off coupon.

the majority of my purchases come from DPSnutrition, shopping more at tigerfitness now as well (like their shirts). I always check nutraplanet for their "stacks" - they will include a free bottle of something a lot of times with something I already was purchasing.

And OP - yes of course. Once a company gets off the ground, they need a way to make sales to keep the lights on & the employees paid. If you read their articles, all they talk about is eating whole foods & doing exercise routines on a scheduled plan. The supplements are a good way for them to make money even though a lot of their articles recommend simply eating whole, real foods & drinking water. I'm personally not into supplementation, but if it gets you motivated to eat right & work out, then why not? It could be sawdust, but if you're eating regular healthy meals & working out, then whatever right?

In general, forums are where you'll get the best advice on just about anything.
We're well past the day where print magazines are the go to for information. What's sad though is that people still consider to look at a print magazine for the best information rather than look to forum posts.

The blatant misinformation in print magazines/advertisements in the fitness industry is what has lead many people to simply give up working out, think it doesn't work, or work out in a 1-2 month burst and then claim it doesn't work since they expected to get ripped like jeff seid in 2 months of lifting taking the same "supplements" he does not realizing that many people in the fitness industry to in fact take steroids and then claim to be "all natural" so they could move supplements under endorsements.

But blah blah blah, on the pitfalls of the fitness industry, I get my supplements from Amazon or from the local GNC (Blasphemy I know) if I'm lazy.

they have consistantly lower prices than gnc. if you have a membership at gnc and then combine the first week sale with current specials then the gnc membership could pay for itself but not sure how that would work out on the overall level. been just using a 5 lb bucket of whey that was on sale at vitamin shoppe. been thinking about starting to order online but have had no reason to for a while.

so the ron kramer that was talked about in the site i linked to. he was apparantly was one of the original founders of bodybuilding.com and thermolife. does he still have anything to do with bodybuilding.com at all?

I usually go to vitamin shoppe (online, since their in store prices are outrageous on 90% of the items) with a 15% or xx off xxx purchase unless bodybuilding.com has a BOGO deal.

They have close to the best prices on average, and they seem to have way more b1g1 type deals than anyone else. Doesn't hurt with the basic shipping if I order something today (Tuesday) I'll have it the following day.

any reason to ever go with other forms than monohydrate? if i remember right it seems that after biological processing it all ends up the same anyways.

I was gonna jump on vitaminshoppe's BOGO deal but after reading the reviews I've decided against it. There creatine supplements out there that are not very easy to dissolve or do not dissolve at all. Bodybuilding.com's creatine is not one of them, it dissolves very easily and stays dissolved for hours, unlike many others.

Maybe it's my order sizes...I rarely order <$100....also I live in florida so that may be a factor.

It's been a while since my last order though.

I've had some $150-200 orders before, but never free shipping even though I'm only about 100 miles from their PA warehouse which they ship out from.
