Boiling Eggs is Easy with Instant Pot

I just boiled 8 eggs in 5 minutes + 5 min depressurize in my instant pot. And peeling them was a dream.

So much easier than having a pot on the stove top.

Now I will be making some egg salad.

Boiled eggs are my #1 use of Instant Pot. But I pressure cook the eggs for 90 minutes. Comes out perfect every time.

That depends on the type of boiled eggs you’re trying to make. Regular boiled eggs are quick and easy on the stove. Sauna boiled eggs are really difficult on the stove and requires pressure cooker to cook fast or slow cooker to cook all day.

Hmm, 5 mins worked great for me. Maybe there are other variables at play?

In Korea, this style of hard boiled eggs is called sauna eggs because it’s cooked in the sauna hot bath water all day and is popular snack sold and eaten at Korean sauna.

In the past I used slow cooker to make this egg but now I use Instant Pot because it’s faster and easier. This explains how to do it in the Instant Pot.

But I fill the Instant Pot with eggs and use one cup of water. You can stack the eggs and fill the pot. The most important thing is to let the eggs reach room temperature before you cook it in Instant Pot. If you cook cold eggs straight from the fridge, the eggs will all crack while cooking.
