I just realized that I subconsciously rate all food relative to bologna. "This sandwich isn't very good but at least it's better than bologna." "this is nasty, I'd rather eat bologna." It really doesn't matter how far removed the food is from bologna, it still gets rated. "This chicken tikka saag sure is better than bologna."

I saw bologna before it was in the blender (when it was just scraps on the floor), I saw bologna being blended, I saw the off-white gunk with the consistency of diarrhea being extruded from a tank into bologna casings, and I saw how it finally actually got some color back after being heated for a while. I'm not much of a fan of bologna now.

Bologna is made from the leftovers of ground meats.

Scrapple is made from the leftovers of Bologna products.

Mmm...scrapple. Can't get it north of the border. I wish I knew why I liked it.

Oh, I undoubtedly have, but it's never been explicitly said. My favorite meat product is sausage. I don't read the package too closely, and just think happy thoughts when I'm eating it. AFAIC, it's made from prime cuts of unicorn, and I don't want to hear otherwise :^D
