I didn't say anything about age.

Hey, whatever you need to say to make you feel better about yourself. Fuckin message boards, face to face you wouldn't come close to saying something like that.

Edit again: I feel like a fool for typing that now. But damn this message board anonymity.

I just finished reading:

A Clockwork Orange: amazing book. I wish I'd read the book before watching the movie.
American Psycho: ditto.
Cronicas de Una Muerte Anunciada: very good story. Gabo is one of my favorite writers.

And, what would be the purpose of doing so, except to troll?

I do believe anyone that acts more than 12, has one step up on you in intelligence and maturity.

Unfortunately, as a moronic 12 year old you will probably be snickering at this post. Oh well, maybe you can draw something from it when you grow up.

I remember you reviewing the movie in my movie thread. So did you enjoy it significantly more than the movie?

The irony of this is that I'm older than probably 90% of the posters on here, and more than likely I am older than you.

Every TV thread has some holier-than-thou fuck saying they don't watch TV, so I'm the asshole in this thread saying I don't read books. Ban me from posting for it, I don't give a fuck I have 500 posts on this board in 10 years. Fuck you kid.

I'm now into the second book of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series. What a good complicated Science Fantasy book series. I just wish Steven Erikson wouldn't introduce so many new terms on every page. Trying to keep a running glossary of all the stuff in my head is a little trying.

I am 52 and act it, at least until my humor kicks in.

See? I can call 52 year olds "kid" too. It felt good.

I'll stop hijacking this awesome thread now.

Edit: You win Squisher, you are older than me. And you probably act more mature than I do as a result. Here's a brain buster though for all you book readers: Your demeanor on an anonymous message board is not entirely indicative of your level of maturity in life.

Well, that was the first time I've read a book after watching the movie (Clockwork Orange was the second). The movie was very good, but the book is just outstanding. The style of writing, the characters, the very graphic language... it just came together beautifully. I really didn't want the book to finish... The book also made me like the movie even more. Just minutes after finishing the book, I was watching the movie yet one more time....

Awesome, and I completely agree with you on the book, it was fantastic.

Almost finished with Steven Erikson's 'House of Chains' and have the next book in the series ('Midnight Tides') waiting.

Finished those two books, and am back to reading some books I got my kids. Finished Garth Nix's 'The Fall', 'Lirael', and am partway through 'Abhorsen'. Got a pile of Suzanne Collins' 'Gregor the Overlander' books to read next. Gonna hit Powell's for more of Erikson's 'Malazan' series after that.

Finished all that stuff, read SM Stirling's series 'Dies the Fire', 'The Protector's War', and 'A Meeting at Corvallis', some David Brin and David Gerrold, some more kids' books that I mostly forget at the moment (a couple of them were by Clive Barker-'Abarat', some by Garth Nix, PB Kerr, Jenny Nimmo, DJ MacHale, GP Taylor, Jonathan Stroud, Angie Sage, Susan Cooper, Susanne Collins, Eoin Colfer, and several more that I can't think of that I got for my kids), finished Erikson's 'The Bonehunters', and am currently partway through the next book in the "Malazan Book of the Fallen" series, 'Reaper's Gale'.

I'm 3/4 way through Deadhouse Gate, I haven't been this into a series in a long time.
