Boooo

Bet I scared ya, didn't I.

My goodness, it's been a long long time since I've posted here.

The best part is my username has carried over, but I can't update my settings as it's now considered invalid.

Good times.

Thanks go to Narzy for digging my email out and dropping me a note. It's been busy as I have since then moved, got a new job, and keeping the internet running one day at a time. I do have all of the old TGB.N files and configs, and my new job does allow me to run a colocate. (Thought I had good ping times before, now that I'm on an international 10Gig/sec fiber network, think again...)

Good to see everyone.

If you try to email me, use firstname@lastname.org or chris at grahn dot org

More memory laps here also.

Does anyone know when Anandtech was created? 1998?

edit: looks like it went online in 1997.

A lot of faces I haven't seen in a long time.

How's everyone doing?

Thanks Ray for the wonderful welcome! It put me really close to firing up an old UT server just to see how bad I would be at it.

What can I say, it has been some time. I currently work for a company called ServerCentral. We deal with colocation on an international level, and have quite the network to back it up. I am looking forward to in the near future setting up my personal colocate box with some beefy hardware to fire up some of the old school games.
I am now living in the Windy City, so if anyone happens to be near by and wants to catch lunch, drop me a note. I am new to the area so if you know of a cool new place to check out, I'm all ears.
I left XMission back in April as I had personal, and business interests in Chicago that I couldn't ignore. Now that I've settled down here, I'm looking to get my sites back up and off of my virtual private server service. I do have all the old DB's, and web sites, along with all the original games. I know I've been a bit of a ghost but you can still reach me via IRC at irc.thegamebox.net.

As for what am I currently crunching? Fraid it's a whole lot of nothing. With my move, I reduced the amount of stuff I had floating around by quite a bit. Currently I own two shuttles and a Mac Mini for my main machine. Although it's a lot faster than the entire TMR rig, it isn't much these days.

So where is everyone at, and how have you all been doing? What have I missed these last couple years?

Thanks for the warm welcome, and the reminders of the great times!

-Chris G.

Lord Demios/TMR, YGPM.

Some of the old gang got together on a private server (BGod, Jaytor, Wolfie to name a few) and it wasn't pretty, at least for me. Old and Slow, even more so than back then. :Q

BGod, who I swear has every map ever made memorized for the classic UT, was just intense. :Q

It was still fun though.
