I have the MSI 694D Pro MB (MS-6321) with 3 Kingston registered ecc dimms 256mb each in slots 1,2,3. (Slot 0 is waiting for final stick.) I just installed the 3rd stick and rearranged the mem in slot locations. (2 sticks had been in slot 0,1 w/no prob.) MSI says memslots are "free memory table". Upon boot I get the following message: Ram Parity Error... checking for segment... offending segment A000... F1 to Disable NMI... F2 Reboot. I press F1 and system continues to boot into W2k. ...puter runs fine w/o crashes or other errors.
What is NMI? Where is segment A000? Why am I getting this error? I have a memory diagnostic that runs multi-loop tests from dos, but it does not find a "parity error", etc. Any ideas will be most appreciated.
TIA, Dean
