when my friend's computer boots up it has an option of which windows to boot up because 2 different windows installations were made on his 2 seperate harddrives.... i formatted one of the harddrives so it is completely empty but now every time i boot up the computer it asks me which windows to boot up. One of the windows installations works and obviously the other one does not because the hd has been formatted...
what i need to know is how to get rid of this menu so windows can just load the default windows...
i went into my boot options and here is what it currently reads...
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
i deleted one of the lines and this is what it now reads... but now instead of giving me 2 windows installations it says "Windows XP Professional" and "Windows(default)" as my options
i want it to just start the computer normally as if there was only 1 installation... what should i edit in my boot config???
thanks and sorry for the long explanation i just want to make sure i am understood of what i am asking =]
EDIT: FIGURED IT OUT THX!!!
