I work for a cash register company and we use PC Anywhere to remotely solve simple problems with our software. For some reason we are having problems with one specific system.
The problem is we get a error initializing the modem after the system reboots. Evidentally, PCAnywhere has a dependecy on the modem's COM port. The way we have things arranged is that PCAnywhere starts when the system is rebooted which prevents the system owner from having to manually start that service. We THINK the problem has to do with the boot order. We aren't having any problems at all when we manually start PC Anywhere. It finds the COM port and acts as it should.
My question is; how do we change it where the modem is initialized before PC Anywhere is started?
