So I went to the store and bought some whiskey and beer, but after I got home and a few beers later I realize that the security cap is still on the bottle!

I dont want to risk getting driving back after already drinking a few beers, is there a way to open the bottle on my own?

1 more pic of cap

help me ATOT!

I've already tried pushing down hard on the 2 notches, didnt budge.

Smash the bottle over a larger container. Drink in one night.

Thought about it, decided against it.

Just wait till tomorrow, go back with the receipt.

Not worth breaking the glass and accidentally drinking fine pieces of glass. That won't feel very good, until, you know... you never feel anything again.

Smash the neck of the bottle with a Channel-Locks or pliers and drink from the jagged broken opening like a man.

i would see if you could split it with a hack saw, or try a dremmel w/ cutting disk. i bet you get it off pretty easy. otherwise you could try to burn it off, just use a propane torch to soften the plastic, though you dont want to get the bottle too hot as it could explode.... oh, and please include pics. I would go for dremmel first.

Never seen one of those, if you told me they existed I'd have thought you were joking. Three cheers for protecting us from ourselves

Dude, it's an electronic alarm tag to keep people from stealing booze.

I just figured it was a child-proof cap.

Still, I've never seen one of those...

hate that, it happened to me once.
i took a dremel to it.
do it outside...plastic stinks.
its tough, so don't try knocking it off or whatever, it has to be sawed off. fastest way is dremel.

On a $30 bottle! That's frightening.

Funny, I'd wonder how he got out of the store without the clerk flipping out then. Obviously a fine quality security system.
